Chapter 71
Silas approached the door to the room he guessed Katrina would be in. He was enraged at the mere thought of her staying away from him for far too long.
If he caught any man trying to get close to her, that man would be a walking corpse in no time.
When he reached the door, he pushed it open and stormed into the room. The sight that greeted him the moment he walked in was one that almost made him lose it.
There on that stupid bed lay his woman and that Chris guy.
His eyes zoomed in on the sight of her clutching to her chest and heaving loudly. She was having an attack.
Chris looked up at Silas, his eyes widening for a split second before he shook his head.
“It’s not what you think.” His voice was deep as he moved away from Katrina in lightning speed. “She asked for it, but then had an attack halfway” he lumriedly added.
Silas was enraged at those words. Katrina threw herself at another man?
Without thinking, he reached into his pants pocket and pulled out the inhaler he carried around with him.
He threw the item towards the bed where she lay, gasping for air
Her eyes were trained on him as she continuously shook her head, unable to say a word. She wanted to explain badly the situation to him. She would never do what Chris accused her of
Chris hurriedly reached for the inhaler and came over to Katrina. He pulled her up swiftly, bringing the inhaler to her lips and shoving the tip into her mouth.
Katrina immediately pressed down on it severally, desperate for relieve. Because she was leaning on Chris, his lips were this close to her ears. With his eyes showing fake concern, he whispered softly.
“Today is your lucky day, Katrina. Thank your stars.”
Silas watched this intimacy with a grave look. How dare that guy: Did he have a death wish? Where the hell did he get the audacity to get so close to Katrina like that?
He did nothing, merely standing there and watching them with resentment written all over his face.
Maria, who had followed him earlier, stood behind him, her head cocked to the side as she watched the display of affection between Chris and Katrina
A satisfied grin spread across her lips.
‘Oh, my world! Here we were searching for you and you’re here smooching with Chris? Aren’t you ashamed of yourself, Katrina? You’re a woman for goodness sake! How shameless.” She said with fake surprise. That was all she always wanted.
fes, that was it. Silas was bound to get angry at Katrina. He didnt onlywatch her with Chris on the bed, but Katrina also had he guts to let Chris get close to her despite seeing that Silas was still standing there.

Inable to bear it any longer, Silas moved, going over to where Chris stood beside Katrina. Without warning, he reached out hand to grab Katrina’s, pulling her up, forcefully.

“That’s enough.” He growled at Chris
Chris flashed him a tiny smile and turned to leave the room, together with Maria who glared daggers at Katrina.
Now left alone, Katrina’s gaze met Silas: She saw the raw anger and jealousy swirling in them.
She had to explain exactly what happened.
“So this is what you do?” Before she could muster up the courage to explain herself, Silas beat her to it. “Wanting to fuck another man?”
“No! It’s a lie.” she said hurriedly, shaking her head continuously
Silas glare intensified as he said again, “You know what’s a lie? You trying to deny what I saw with my own two eyes. How dare you? Are you that cheap and desperate for sex? You let that bastard touch you? You want that bastard to fuck you Let me guess, you’ve always had your eyes on him?” Hie mocking questions rang endlessly that Katrina was tempted to shield her ears with her hands. How could he doubt her like this? He didn’t even trust her?
His words hurt her badly and she chose to speak up once more.

“Shut the hell up!” He yelled, cutting her short. Katrina shuddered, her hands trembling. After all the time she spent with him, he still thought she was lying to him. He still thought she would let another man touch her, not just any man but that
Silas didn’t stay to hear her explanation, he turned and walked out of the room, his fist clenched.
Katrina hurriedly followed behind him, determined to get him to listen to her.
Katrina saw that he was about to leave, so she followed him our of the party.
Maria stood at the corner watching the both of them.
The smile hadn’t disappeared from her face, if anything, she was grinning from ear to ear.
This way, she would be able to get rid of Katrina from Silas‘ life and officially take over. “Katrina, you don’t know who you’re messing with.” She muttered. Maria immediately made a mental note to meet up with Silas later and remind him of what happened that day. He had to stay as angry as possible if she wanted Katrina out of his life faster than usual.
Silas got into the awaiting vehicle, preparing to leave. Katrina hurriedly followed, her heart beating out loud in her chest.
She was scared of what he might do. He already said a lot of hurtful things to her, what more did he have to say?
When the car arrived at the house, Silas got down, leaving her behind as he walked into the house. Katrina followed him, mustering up the courage to call out to him again
“Silas, please hear me out.” She begged.
“Get lost!” Silas yelled in anger.
He said nothing more and stomped up the stairs, heading to his bedroom
