Chapter 9
Jamie reached out his hand, wanting to touch Mr. Bunny, but I exerted all my strength and mercilessly pushed him, who had just recovered from a serious illness, to the ground.
I looked extremely indifferent as I gazed at the pale face of the young boy, who looked up at me with
a helpless expression, and spoke.
“Don’t touch my mother’s belongings with your dirty hands,” the words had just fallen when Ivy’s
surprised gasp came from nearby.
The uninvited woman looked at Jamie with a face full of concern and then sternly questioned me.
“Maliyah, are you crazy? Just because Brock doesn’t want you, you’re treating his son like this?”
I knew that Brock was standing right behind me.
Ivy’s words were completely intended to sow discord.
I lowered my head and couldn’t help but laugh out loud. Even at this point, this woman still thinks
highly of herself and stirs up trouble.
I walked up to Ivy and without saying a word, I slapped her.
Ivy was stunned for a moment, opened her mouth to speak, and I suddenly slapped her.
Finally coming to her senses, Ivy was so angry that tears welled up in her eyes. She was about to attack me ferociously, but Brock didn’t give her the chance.
I heard Brock blocking in the middle and advising me to calm down and not get too excited.
“Ivy’s face changed like a revolving lantern, turning pale and then red, constantly shifting.
“Brock, the person who was beaten is me, Ivy! Not her, Maliyah!”
Faced with the woman’s uncontrollable screaming, Brock had a headache and said with a grim face.
“I ordered to dismiss you. It has nothing to do with Maliyah. There’s nothing else, so please leave
quickly.”
Ivy incredulously widened her eyes and cried out, “This woman not only hit me but also pushed your son. Are you blind, Brock?!”
Upon hearing the words, Jamie slowly stood up from the ground, leaning against the wall.
He spoke with a mute voice.
“No matter my mother’s business, it was my own fault for falling carelessly.”
Ivy’s face turned pale as paper, and she stumbled backward.
Chapter 9
T
“…Brock, you bastard, not only are you a bastard, but your son is also not a good person!”
After Ivy ran away with her crying makeup, both Brock and Jamie hesitated to speak, their eyes filled with hope as they looked at me.
I knew what they were thinking.
They thought that without Ivy as the catalyst, I would quickly soften my heart as usual, return to the family, and continue to strive to be a good wife and mother.
Sure enough, as I had expected, just as I took a few steps forward, I heard Brock’s voice coming from behind, taking advantage of the situation.
“Maliyah, Jamie and I drove here for two hours early in the morning, and we didn’t eat anything.”
Actually, I don’t really mind, it’s just Jamie, he’s still in the stage of growing, can you make him a bowl of noodles?
I thought for a moment and then said.
“You wait outside the gate; I will bring some food over.”
After speaking, I did not walk toward the nearest kitchen, but instead I took Mr. Bunny back to the
room.
Open the first layer of the dressing table.
I took out a prepared document. Two minutes later, I handed this document, along with a bag of bread, to Jamie.
I said to Brock and Jamie.
“I consulted with a lawyer. Currently, it is difficult to formally sever the mother–son relationship from a legal standpoint in our country.”
But it doesn’t matter. As long as Jamie signs this contract, I will no longer have any obligation to take care of him in his old age.
Since I chose to abandon Jamie, naturally I wouldn’t make him bear the responsibility of taking care of me for a hundred years..
This agreement contract was solely designed to protect Jamie’s interests.
But the young man suddenly knelt down with red eyes, pulling at my pants and crying, gasping for breath, begging me to forgive him.
