My mother sneered, “That’s a lie, you fool! She
you’ll feel inferior and overthink things:
She deliberately didn’t tell you for the sake of your reputation, understand?”
Scarlet still couldn’t believe it. “Is it really Penelope’s? Where did she get so much money?”
“Of course it was me who gave it, unless it was given by you guys, Drew?”
My mother’s words suddenly changed, and her whole demeanor became sharp.
The atmosphere became extremely awkward!

Gaven Koch took the phone handed to him by the lawyer and watched the surveillance footage once.
