Chapter 6
My daughter seemed to see my confusion, and her innocent eyes were filled with sorrow.
The voice whispered, “I always heard you cry at night.” My fingers trembled uncontrollably.
Even the person by my bedside was unaware, but my daughter, who is far away, noticed it crystal
clear.
Mother and daughter were inseparable, she understood everything.
But I suddenly had a moment of regret, why did I only wake up so late?
My daughter raised a tissue and wiped away the tears that kept flowing from my eyes.
“Mom, don’t cry. Dad doesn’t like us, so let’s not have him anymore.”
I laughed and, after getting my emotions in order, I took my daughter out for a big meal.
During the period, the phone kept vibrating non–stop, so I glanced at it and immediately turned it
off.
After my daughter and I had eaten to our heart’s content, I took her to watch a movie.
We didn’t arrive home until midnight.
Open the door, and the room was as bright as daylight.
Joaquin looked at me with a haggard face and a hidden anger.
I stared into his eyes and laughed heartily in satisfaction.
I have had this feeling thousands and thousands of times.
Joaquin couldn’t stand it after just one time.
He pulled my arm and led me into the bedroom.
Is this how a mother behaves? Coming home so late, I specially prepared a table full of delicious dishes for you all.
I impatiently scratched my ear and uttered a sentence that he had said to me countless times.
“Did I make you wait for me? Did I make you cook for me?”
Joaquin looked at me incredulously, standing in place with a sense of frustration, tears welling up
in his eyes.
“Are you still speaking human language? Do you have to degrade me like this, trample on my sincerity?”
Nglanced at him with a sneer.
