Chapter 33
ISABEL’S POINT OF VIEW
“I’m innocent of these accusations. I don’t even know why that seer would say something so cruel about me, it breaks my heart that people can be so mean,” I uttered calmly, and Hayden’s eyes flashed with pity.
“Love, you need to calm down. I know all of this must be overwhelming for you. But there’s a bigger trouble at hand.”
“You know what the pack thinks about witches. It’s only right that you tell us the truth, so we can know how to protect you,” he explained as his eyes bore into mine. Hector observed me from the opposite end as he drank from his glass of wine.
“Have you noticed any changes since you shifted? Anything unusual we should be concerned about?” he asked in one breath. “Apart from the realistic dream I had a few days before the mating ceremony, I don’t think there’s anything we should be concerned about,” I disclosed, and he raised his eyebrows.
“A realistic dream? Tell me about it,” Hayden encouraged, and I realized I needed to speak up immediately.
“I had this dream, and there was blood everywhere. I was frightened by what I saw, the minute I opened my eyes, there was blood everywhere, even on my hands,” I explained the dream to them, and Hayden took a deep breath.
“Real blood?” Hector questioned to be sure of what he just heard.
“That’s definitely something to be worried about, Isabel. Why didn’t you tell us?” Hayden expressed anxiously.
“You both had a lot to worry about, I didn’t want to keep coming off as the strange one. It hurts me,” I admitted, and he stared at me for more than ten seconds.
“We would never look at you like that. Yes, a lot of things happened in the beginning, but we wouldn’t treat you differently. You are our fated mate, the Luna of the pack, and you will carry our children, continue the family name with us, and rule by our side as Isabel.”
“You have nothing to worry about. What we should be focused on is getting you out of this mess,” he assured me nodded, trying to calm myself.
and I
“The protest from pack members is strong. We don’t know what is fueling their hatred for you, but whatever it is, it needs to be stopped immediately. I’ll get some of my guys to look into it. All you have to do is be ready to look out for yourself, that’s the most important part,” he advised, and I nodded.
“And please, stay indoors,” he cautioned, and I didn’t know how to respond to that. He was right, anyway, I couldn’t attend classes with this madness going on.
“When can I meet with Savannah again?” I wondered aloud, and Hector turned to me.
“She’s been released from the dungeon. Her room’s cleaned up, and I believe she’ll be joining us for the next family dinner. We’re giving Aunt Lucia time to come to terms with the fact that Savannah has come to stay,” Hayden informed me, and I smiled at this information.
“I’m glad you both are standing up for what’s right,” I said with a bright smile as they made their way out of my room.
I need to prove my innocence somehow. Grabbing my phone from the table, I tried calling Grandma Shu. It rang twice, but she wasn’t picking up.
Sighing softly, I sat on the bed and tried to search my mind for answers.
“You’ve been thinking for ages, not even giving me a chance to speak,” a voice said in my head, making me freeze on the

My head felt light like someone had just gained access to my mind.
“Who’s there?” I stammered in shock.
“It’s me, Ryna. Your wolf,” she introduced herself, and I bit my lower lip.
“My wolf? I didn’t know we could talk to each other,” I uttered in confusion..

“You don’t know the first thing about being a werewolf! I can’t believe you kept me silent the entire time,” she complained.
“Okay, first things first, I’m sorry for the way I treated you. But then, you stayed inside of me for years, refusing to show yourself. I was declared cursed and had to live with that for weeks while you were just inside, doing nothing,” I retorted angrily, and she fell silent.
“It wasn’t the right time to show myself. Things are meant to happen at the right time, Isabel. We are different, we are unique,” my wolf spoke to me telepathically.
“Is that why you’re white? I can’t believe the Moon Goddess gave me a white wolf,” I remarked aloud, and she hissed in my head.
“You don’t get to hiss at me, Ryna. I replaced that lonely feeling.
Own the body you live in,” I declared and chuckled. Somehow, I enjoyed our banter, as it
“Thanks for showing yourself, Ryna. Somehow, I feel complete,” I admitted honestly.
“I knew we’d get here eventually when you’d finally accept that you need me,” she teased.
“Okay, fine, I need you. Now, can you go back to the part about us being unique? Because I don’t understand how that helps me when I’m the reason the pack is almost in chaos. That Jena girl is spreading rumours about me being a witch, and there’s a prophecy about me dividing the pack in the future,” I fumed in frustration.
“I’ve sensed another presence in you since we bonded and you gained your ability to shift. The thing is, I can’t quite pinpoint the most dominant gift. Is it the fact that you’re a seer or that you carry the blood of a witch?” Ryna revealed.
“Blood of a witch?” I gasped. I needed answers. What was Ryna talking about?
“Ryna, you’re mistaken. I’ve been with my parents long enough to know if I possess witch powers. My parents loathe me, but they have no abilities aside from their werewolf traits,” I retorted firmly.
“Or maybe there’s something they haven’t told us. I can sense it even with my eyes closed. You need to do more research,” she encouraged.
“Or maybe I should talk to Savannah about this,” I confided.
“Who the hell is Savannah?” she inquired, and I sighed.
“Do you always sound so rude, Ryna?” I asked, imagining her rolling her eyes.
“Who’s Savannah?” she repeated.
“She’s the prince’s sister. Savannah has the seer gift, but she was cursed by the Moon Goddess and can’t age beyond sixteen. She’s been sixteen for as long as I can remember,” I revealed.
“That’s like being immortal. How can someone not
“ge when they aren’t even a vampire?” she asked, and I smiled.
“I can’t say, Ryna. We just need to talk to her to figure out our next step,” I explained, and she seemed to agree. “Luna,” Gina called as she entered my room.

“I was about to call you. I’ve been trying to reach Grandma Shu, but I can’t get through to her. The princes forbade me from leaving the pack house, so I can’t check on her myself,” I explained, and Gina looked at me.
“So, what do you want me to do? Call her for you or check on her myself?” she offered.
“Yes, but tomorrow morning. For now, I need you to come with me. We need to talk to Savannah,” I said, and she walked with me as we left my room.
I know I should wait for Savannah to settle in, but I can’t be patient with everything happening around me.
“Isabel,” Savannah called as soon as I entered her room without knocking, and I raised my eyebrows.
“How did you know it was me without even turning around?” I questioned in amusement.
“Who else would enter my room with such boldness? You didn’t even knock,” she chuckled.
“I need your help,” I announced.
“I know, I can see the worry on your face. How am I supposed to help you?” she responded with a smile.
I began, “Savannah, there’s a seer in the pack. No one knows who she is or where she comes from, but her name is Jena, and she’s from a distant pack.”
“I feel she has a motive because why else would she call me a witch? She made a prophecy about me dividing the pack, and everything has turned upside down. Pack members are protesting everywhere. I can’t even move freely because they might hurt me,” I explained in one breath.
“That’s a lot to take in,” Savannah remarked as our eyes met.
“Jena does seem suspicious, and like you said, I think she has a motive. Saying you’d divide the pack was uncalled for. But now that the protests have started, the question is how do we resolve this situation?” Savannah asked, and I rubbed my head/ in frustration.
“The more you stay low, the more brutal the protests may become. An angry pack can’t be ruled,” Savannah warned, and her words struck a chord.
She is right, the protests won’t stop, they will only escalate.
HECTOR’S POINT OF VIEW
“I cannot and will not hand Isabel over to the pack members. That’s not even an option to consider,” I exclaimed angrily, and Hayden mirrored my expression. We were in a meeting with the pack elders, and it was clear things wouldn’t end well.
“They want answers. Jena wouldn’t make a prophecy like that without reason,” Viktor argued, and I stared at him in disbelief.
“You believe this Jena girl, who showed up out of nowhere, without investigating her background, and you expect us to trust her with our mate?” Hayden snapped angrily.
“The curse has already been broken!” another elder declared.
“And we are supposed to throw our woman to the teeth of the enemies because the curse is broken?” Hayden questioned as he raised his eyebrows threateningly.
“I can’t believe I get to see the day you call us enemies because of Isabel,” Viktor uttered angrily.
“She is your Luna!” I burst out angrily.
“A Luna that has brought nothing but doom‘ to the pack. How are we supposed to believe her when we have Jena?” Elder Viktor asked sarcastically.

“Jena, Jena, Jena! I thought the pack was against seers and witches? Now you all have no problem with the Jena girl. It’s high time we reveal our sister’s identity then, the acceptance process begins with the pack elders after all,” I declared and their eyes moved from one another, then back to me.

“What are you talking about? Your father had no children aside from the both of you. Your sister died years ago,” Viktor said angrily, and I smirked.
Hayden commented, “That’s where you’re mistaken. I’m pretty sure you’re aware of his misdeeds, Viktor. After all, you are his right hand man.”
“Savannah is alive and she will live amongst us. The members of the pack will get used to her presence, just like they would get used to Isabel,” Hayden declared.
“You are making a mistake. Your father wanted the pack to be clean from these people, too bad that you married one. You have gone out of your way to bring in the cursed Savannah!” Another elder snapped angrily.
“How dare you,” I roared, and Hayden stopped me from acting out on impulse. I was pissed off with their stupid attitude and I wasn’t even trying to hide it, how dare they?
“A leader that refuses to listen to wise council, will meet nothing but doom at the end. Supporting a young girl who was rejected by her own family, will bring you nothing but trouble,” he sneered in anger.
“We would cross that bridge when we get there, Isabel has come to stay,” Hayden added, and they did not seem pleased by our reply.
“This meeting has come to an end,” I announced, and I watched as the elders made their way out of the conference room that was filled with tension.
