Chapter 32
ISABEL’S POINT OF VIEW
“Are you sure you don’t want to tell the Princes about your visit to Savannah?” Gina inquired as we made our way out of my
room.
“Not yet. I’ll be fine on my own,” I replied, and she gave a nod as we walked out together. I had texted Grandma Shu to meet me at the palace later that evening.
It was a new day, and I am pretty sure the news of my shift must have spread across the pack. Why else would the elders of the clan come to visit the Princes?
“I knew I should be expecting you again, Isabel,” Savannah remarked as she stirred the tea in her cup.
“Luna of the Moon Stone Pack,” she declared with a playful smile.
“I gained access to my wolf, Savannah. It happened last night,” I shared, and her eyes widened in surprise before a smile graced her lips.
“Shouldn’t you be jumping for joy? Why the frown on your face Savannah asked, and she studied my facial expressions, she shifted her gaze between Gina and me.
“I shifted into a white wolf, Savannah. Shouldn’t that be cause for alarm?” I questioned, and her eyes widened further.
“Awhite wolf? I’ve never heard of that. But I’m sure it is not new in werewolf history. You are gifted, Isabel. I’m hoping you
reach your full potential in time,” she explained, and I stared at her calmly.
“You might be getting your freedom soon, Savannah. The Princes are considering bringing you out of this place,” I revealed, and her eyes softened as she looked at me.
“Wouldn’t that lead to bigger problems?” she asked, staring off into the distance.
“You don’t deserve to be locked here just because your father couldn’t accept your unique nature. You deserve to be loved and cherished, Savannah. That’s what awaits you outside these four walls,” I said, and she nodded with a bright smile on her face. ‘She looked so young and beautiful,‘ I thought.
“Thanks for believing in me, Isabel. It means a lot. But you have to be very careful. I can feel it in my gut, something serious is about to happen,” she revealed, and an uncomfortable silence filled the room.
When I returned to my room, I was surprised to see a text from Grandma Shu saying she couldn’t make it to the palace because she was feeling unwell.
Gina and I decided to pay her a visit, and true to her words, she lay calmly on her bed. “Thanks for checking on me, Isa. I’m sorry I couldn’t make it,” she said softly as I bent down to her level.
“You’ve been a big support to me. I’m not upset that you couldn’t make it,” I assured her, and her lips pressed into a thin line, with a soft smile on her face.
“Thank you,” she replied, gesturing toward my table.
“I was hoping to return your books. I’m so happy you managed to access your wolf. The news is everywhere,” she commented, and I smiled.
“Not until they hear that my wolf is white. The pack members look for any reason to judge me. I don’t know if I should consider this good or bad news,” I admitted, and her eyes softened as she looked at me.
“Don’t let their words get to you. It’s time to be genuinely happy without listening to side talk. I’ll research more on the white

We returned to the pack house, and Hayden smiled as he approached me. “Hey, love,” he greeted, kissing my forehead, then my lips.
“Hey, I noticed you were busy with pack duties,” I said as he laced our hands together.
“Take a walk with me,” he offered, and I nodded as Gina bowed and left us alone.
“Where are you coming from?” he asked, curious.
“I went to check on Grandma Shu, my friend. She’s unwell,” I responded, and he tilted his head with a smile.
“You seem to care a lot about the old woman,” he remarked.
“I love her, just like I would have loved my biological mother. But, unfortunately, my real mother doesn’t want me. Grandma Shu has been nothing but kind to me. She cares and goes out of her way to protect me,” I told him, and his nostrils flared with a smile.
“We must thank her for caring so much about our woman,” he replied, and I smiled.
“Smooth, huh?” I teased, and he chuckled.
“I like that you’re warming up to me and Hector. It’s wonderful,” he said, and I smiled.
“You two have given me reasons to, and I’m grateful. I don’t know what would have happened to me if it were the other way around,” I said, and he nodded.
“Everything will be okay, just as it is now,” he assured me, even though I wasn’t sure if I should trust his words.
We returned to the pack house after our walk, and I went back to my room to rest. As soon as I lay down, I felt a cold feeling then it suddenly went hot, followed by a sudden heat that moved in my body. I shut my eyes and tried to focus.
“It’s time!” a voice echoed in my mind, leaving me frozen in shock.
It faded as quickly as it came, and I eventually fell asleep.
The next morning at breakfast, Lady Lucia glared daggers at me making her hatred clear. “You look stunning as always,” Hector complimented, making me blush.
“Doom! Doom! There is impending doom!” a voice called out, and we all turned to see who it was.

“What’s going on?” Hayden asked, concerned.
“Who is she?” Hector asked Hayden, who looked as clueless as Lady Lucia.
“I am Jena, a seer from a distant pack,” she introduced herself, bowing. Savannah was a seer who couldn’t control her visions, but this Jena seemed to know exactly what she was saying.
“You are nothing but trouble to this prestigious pack!” she accused, pointing her fingers directly at me.
“What nonsense! You have no right to speak to her like that!” Hayden protested angrily, and Jena wasn’t moved by his threat. “Let her speak, Hayden. If it is in favour of the pack, we must allow her to continue,” Lady Lucia interrupted him calmly. “The girl is powerful, I can feel it radiating from her. She is not only cursed, Isabel is a witch!” Jena declared dramatically. “A witch?” Lady Lucia asked in shock.

“I knew it! She’s no good!” Lady Lucis pat, and I looked awry, rying to proces everything that had just happened
“Aunt Lucia, that’s enough! Who is this Jens, and why has the fenly appeared in our park with her prophecies tgat will bring nothing but trouble? Isabel is a normal werewolf.” he trade off
“Oh, please! What should we expect from a girl with a white wol You mentioned it yourself. Hayden. What’s come over ons both? Before anything else, you should be prioritizing the packwell–being instead of Isabell she snapped.
“I should leave.” I said, rushing away. I could still hear her voice echoing, as she argued why I should be cast out
With the level of hatred I receive on a daily basis, I’m beginning to think everything will only double because the worst is about to happen when this news gets out.
I was still in bed when Gina rushed into my room. “What’s wrong Gina? You look upset,” I said, and she burst into tear
“We have a problem, Luna. There’s a big protest in the city. The entire pack is protesting for safety. Apparently, that Jena girt went around spreading the same prophecy she shared with the Princes this morning”
“The pack members are in the streets, demanding that you be removed from the mansion and relieved of your duties before you cause division among the brothers and the pack,‘ she reported, and my world came crashing down.
Just when I thought I could be genuinely happy, I was accused of being a threat to the pack.
“I’m innocent, Gina, and somehow, I just have to prove that,” I said in one breath.
