Chapter 28
ISABEL’S POINT OF VIEW
“I want to stay with you till it’s time to go outside. I’m nervous,” admitted, and Hector chuckled as he watched me calmly.
My relationship with the brothers has taken a new turn over these few weeks. They make me feel safe and welcome. Hector was warming up to me quite well, and Hayden was the perfect gentleman.
“You know, at some point, you have to come out with us. After all, it’s your birthday party,” he teased, and Hayden entered with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
“The party was hosted for the countdown, in honour of our mate, our woman,” he chimed in, and I smiled.
“Your woman? I’m nobody’s woman,” I replied teasingly, and they both chuckled. Hayden kissed my forehead, and Hector handed the flowers to me, then gave me a light kiss on the cheek, making me smile.
“Can I stay in tonight?” I inquired calmly, and Hector looked at me, with concern on his face.
“Should I be worried about that?” he questioned, and I raised my eyebrows.
“I feel like the whole thing is crazy. It’s the mating night, and a lot of people will come out for the ceremony, not just because it’s my birthday party,” I explained, and he smiled.
“I see you’ve become more mature with everything going on around you. There are a lot of enemies, Isabel. The more you keep your hopes up, expecting people will love you, you might only end up with heartbreak. I prefer that you trust us, we can work together with trust and love,” Hayden said, and I smiled as he hugged me from behind.
“I guess we can cover for you after the knew exactly what that meant.
coronation. Once it’s midnight, the mating season begins,” Hector declared, and we all
It made my heart race with anticipation. This is going to be my first time with the brothers, and I’d never even had sex. How was I supposed to handle both of them? I shook the thoughts from my head as we made our way back to the party for the reveal.
I felt safe when I noticed my parents were nowhere in sight for the party. Hayden and Hector stood beside me as we waited for the announcement of the season.
“I need to rest,” I muttered, and Hector offered to see me to my room. He stopped by to get Gina to keep me company. “I’ll be right back after the announcement,” he promised, and I gave a nod.
“You look very beautiful tonight, Luna,” she complimented, and I smiled.
“All thanks to you, Gina. By tomorrow morning, everything will fall into place,” I said hopefully, and she smiled.
“I guess you’ll be mated to both of them, as Savannah suggested” Gina teased, and I blushed red.
“It’s scary. Since I haven’t done it before, how do I handle two guys?” I wondered, and she chuckled.
“Oh, Luna, I’m sure the princes will take good care of you. Just give in and trust their judgment,” Gina reassured, and I nodded as she pulled me into a warm hug.
We’d grown so close that she saw me as her sister. If anything, I knew I had to be watchful, as Lady Lucia and my sisters were up to no good and would do anything to hurt me.
“Have a lovely night, Gina,” I said as she walked toward the door.
“You too, Luna,” she replied and left the room.

Chapter 28
I kept myself occupied with a romance book from one of my favourite authors as I lay on my bed, trying to get some sleep. I eventually got up, decided to freshen up, and changed into my white, see through nightwear that complimented my skin perfectly.
Halfway through waiting for them to return to the room, I fell asleep, cuddling my pillow close to my chest.
HAYDEN’S POINT OF VIEW
“You’re back early,” I said to my brother as he stood beside me.
“She’s with her handmaid. She loves Gina,” he remarked, his eyes scanning the ballroom.
“Aunt Lucia,” Hector called as she approached us.
“Hayden, Hector. Where’s Isabel? I thought the party was held in her honour,” she asked, and I eyed her curiously.
“She wants to get some rest,” Hector answered before I could.
Aunt Lucia is not a fan of Isabel, but I’d noticed she was trying to be civil these past
few days.
“It’s almost time, we’ll be leaving soon after we announce the start of a new season,” I informed her, and she smiled.
“I believe the curse will be broken soon,” she assured us, and we both said nothing. It is a tradition to announce the season when the full moon appears.
I nodded, and Hector took the lead in announcing the season. Cheers and excitement filled the room, followed by the howling of wolves. Together, we made our way back to Isabel’s room.
“The instructions given to us said we need to start the process when it’s time,” Hector reminded me, and I nodded. We were now in Isabel’s room and she looked so beautiful, Right there in her white silky night dress that did very little to cover her
- up.
“Fuck,” Hector cursed under his breath as he looked away, his reaction made me smirk.
Isabel had no idea the kind of effect she had on us, it was thick and dangerous. We watched her sleep and that’s when we heard a loud noise outside the room.
“What’s that?” Hector asked curiously.
My eyebrows furrowed in the direction of the door and our protective instincts kicked in, and we moved outside the room to check if everything was okay.
Indeed everything was fine. “I think it’s a trap,” I observed, as we walked back to her room hastily.
“Ahhhhh!” we heard Isabel’s scream, and we saw a brown wolf trying to attack Isabel.
