Although Nicole was pale, with disheveled hair and covered in Aaron’s coat, she still carried herself with composure. She didn’t look like someone who had just gone through a traumatic experience.
Aaron looked down at Jacob like he was looking at the gum stuck on the bottom of his shoe. “Who gave you the audacity to do this?”
Jacob was completely defeated. Or rather, he had been beaten into submission.
