Austin glared at Courtney, angrily snatching the flowers from her hands. “Courtney, who is he?”
“It’s none of your business” Courtney signed to Austin.
But Austin couldn’t understand. “Courtney, what happened to you? This guy is clearly troublesome. Come home with me,”
He pulled Courtney aside, insisting she go back with him.
“Vera took Phoebe and left. Please, come home with me, Austin said in a soft voice, trying to comfort her, as he reached up to smooth Courtney’s hair.
Courtney instinctively pulled away, reaching for the flowers in Austin’s hand.
Austin, frustrated and clearly threatened, seemed to fear that Courtney would fall for someone else. There was a deep possessiveness

“Courtney, if you want flowers, I can buy you some. You’re my wife, understand?” Austin’s voice was low, his anger barely contained.

He reached out, grabbing Courtney by the collar and pulling her into his arms, shooting a warning glance at Austin

Courtney ignored Austin and pulled Hayden upstairs.
“Courtney…” He tried to catch up, but Hayden gave him a warning look
Not wanting to escalate things physically with Hayden, Austin could only follow behind. ‘Courtney, I know you’re mad at me. I promise I’ll fix everything.”
“I know what kind of person you are. You can make a scene if you want, but let’s not get a divorce, okay!” He sounded like he was pleading. desperate not to lose Courtney.
“Courtney, we’ll go back to how things were. Don’t make me do this on my own, please, Austin begged, hoping she would understand and cooperate. He was tired of not being understood.
Courtney’s fingers were numb as she reached for the door. She didn’t turn around because she knew things would never go back to the way they
were
“This ex–husband of yours talks too much; it’s getting annoying,” Hayden saisi, kicking Austin in the chest.
His strength was immense. Having been a peacekeeper, Hayden exuded a tough, rebellious aura, one that made it clear Austin, who had always been an obedient scholar, was no match for him.
“Dude, I’m telling you if you want to win her back, at least get rid of the mess around you. You’re not sincere,” Hayden said, grabbing Austin by the collar. You need to make a choice, you know? You’re making me jealous.”

“You know why I’m jealous of a scumbag like you? Because you somehow managed to marry Courtney five years ago.” Hayden’s punch landed squarely on Austin’s face.
He’d wanted to hit Austin for a long time.
“Hayden!” Courtney rushed forward, shoving Hayden away, signing angrily. “You get lost, too
Hayden frowned, clearly hurt.
“What gives you the right to interfere in our matters? Austin tried to strike back, but Courtney blocked him. “She’s my wife! You’re nothing.”
Hayden’s cold aura intensified, his fists clenched as though he was ready to go after Austin again.
Courtney frantically signed, but Hayden, in his anger, refused to look at her, fixated only on taking another swing at Austin.
Finally, unable to take it anymore, Courtney raised her hand and slapped Hayden across the fare.
Hayden froze, his eyes burning with a mixture of confusion and hurt as he looked at her.
This wasn’t the first time Courtney had hit him–she’d done it before, but Hayden was thick–skinned and never showed any signs of being hurt. But this time, the pain in his eyes was impossible to ignore.

She just didn’t want Hayden to hurt Austin too badly, and she was worried Austin might call the police.
Hayden stood still for a few seconds, silent. He didn’t say anything and turned to leave.
Courtney wanted to call out to him, but no sound came. In the end, she just gave up.
