Courtney furrowed her brows, looking down at Hayden. Tyson likely realized that Courtney was the only one who could make Hayden behave.

1 yes, Hayden replied with a smirk.
Courtney was very upset, but unable to make a sound, she could only endure his teasing.
Back when they were in the terrorist organization, Hayden liked to tease her like this, knowing that she couldn’t ask for help.
“Video, Courtney signed, asking Hayden.
“Did he delete your video?” Hayden looked at Courtney, his expression dark. He should ve beaten that bastard earlier.
Courtney nodded.
“I saved it for you. It’s not safe to keep it in your phone,” Hayden reached out and took the phone from Courtney, opening it and deleting the forwarded messages in their chat.
Courtney carefully watched him, impressed by how many functions modern smartphones had.
It had been five years since she last used a smartphone, and she needed time to adjust.
“You want to find out who betrayed you Hayden asked again.
Courtney nodded seriously. She needed to give Mark an explanation, as well as one for herself and her parents.
“Investigations are the police’s job. You just need to keep yourself safe, Hayden reminded her.
Courtney lowered her head and remained silent

He understood Courtney. Even if he told her not to do something, she would absolutely try to do it. Since he couldn’t stop her, he would h back her up.
“This time, I found out that you’re in trouble just in time. But what about next time? Hayden looked at Courtney. “You can’t expect me to keep running from the hospital”
Courtney opened her mouth, but no sound came out. She anxiously signed, “You don’t need to worry about me.”
“If I don’t worry about you, would you have made it this far? Hayden responded, frustrated.
In South Weidan, Courtney would never have made it this far without Hayden.

To Hayden, Courtney was like a delicate flower in a greenhouse, unable to withstand even the slightest wind or rain. He believed she was gentle and kind, completely helpless, and he wished he could tie her to him wherever he went
But in reality, Courtney saw herself as smart, brave, and strong, like a cactus that could survive even in a desert.
“We have nothing between us. You don’t need to worry about me,” Courtney signed again, her expression irritated.
“I’m not helping you. It’s just that my mission isn’t finished. Lucas terrorist organization has been dealt with, but Lucas escaped. We’ve found that he has close ties with people in Henisburg,” Hayden said.

“If we can find the person who betrayed you, we might be able to locate Lucas through them, he explained, emphasizing that this was his mission.
After hearing Hayden’s words, Tyson turned around, his gaze sharp and intimidating. What Hayden had just told Courtney was classified information.
“She’s trustworthy. Besides, the higher–ups told us to find a reliable informant, though I don’t want to put her in danger, Hayden retorted.
The higher–ups had instructed Hayden to find a trustworthy person from the hospital to act as an informant. Hayden wasn’t willing to let Courtney do this, especially considering the dangers involved.
“I agree!” Courtney quickly signed, nervously typing a message on her phone for Tyson to see. I can cooperate and help with your investigation.” Tyson glanced at Courtney but said nothing, rubbing his forehead in frustration.

Courtney made a gesture of thanks.
Hayden didn’t speak. Only when the car stopped in an alley did he finally pull himself out of Courtney’s arms.
During the ride, Courtney had pushed him several times, but he just played the fool
“Let me check your foot. As soon as they got out of the car, Hayden forcefully pulled Courtney into his arms.
Tyson raised a hand to cover his face, as if to say he couldn’t bear to watch. “You’re asking for trouble.”
“This little injury won’t stop me from carrying my wife, Hayden shot back at Tyson as he carried Courtney to the rental apartment. Courtney was both furious and embarrassed, struggling but unable to break free. She could only maintain a stern expression.
Hayden was the most shameless man she had ever met in her life.
