Austin’s face turned pale as he looked at Courtney in fear. Austin said, “Courtney, what are you going to do? Don’t act rashly. Stay calm”
Alina was so scared that she said in a trembling voice, “Courtney, you crazy woman, what are you going to do?”
Alina’s voice was so loud that Courtney looked terrified and instinctively was about to press the lighter.
ASina screamed in terror, “No…”
Courtney looked at Alina and said slightly. “Your voice is too loud and scares me, if i get scared, I may accidentally press the lighter, and we will all die.”
y, what do you want?
Austin was so anxious that he stomped his feet. He didn’t have the guts to move and said, “Courtney,
Austin didn’t feel sleepy at all.
Courtney said, “Ask your mother to apologize to me. Her shout scared me.” Courtney was calm but crazy.
Austin took a deep breath, nervously looked at Alina, and said, “Mom, Phoebe is still sleeping. Don’t stimulate Courtney. Apologize to her
Alina reluctantly looked at Courtney and spoke harshly, “I’m sorry. Calm down.”
Courtney sneered, “I can’t hear you.”
Alina said through gritted teeth, “I’m sorry!”
Courtney
frowned and put the lighter down.
Austin dashed towards the windows and intended to open them.
Courtney picked up the lighter again..
Austin was so scared he almost fell over. He had a headache.
Courtney giggled and put the lighter down again.
Austin opened the windows while Alina turned off the gas stove.
Alina slapped her thigh and scolded, “You’re out of your mind!”
Courtney looked at her and smiled, “Well, as you say,
I’m out of mind.”
Alina’s blood pressure rose from fear. Sise almost lost her balance.
Austin supported Alina and said, “Mom, are you alright?”
Alina said, “I’m dizzy.” Alina was unsteady on her feet and slumped into a nearby chair.
Austin said, “Mom, let’s take Phoebe and move to a hotel. Austin couldn’t bear it anymore. Courtney was pushing him to his limit.
Alina gritted her teeth and spoke firmly. “No way, if so, she will get what she wants. She can’t wait for us to move

Courtney stood up from the couch, stared at Austin, and said, “Sign the divorce agreement. Let’s go to get the divorce certificate.”
Austin frowned and said impatiently, “Courtney, if you get divorced, your situation will be more dangerous. If you refuse to sign the letter of
understanding for Vera, the Lewis family won’t let you off easy”
as an ex–husband.
Courtney said as she played with the lighter in her hand, “It has nothing to do with you. You just need to fulfill your role as an ex

“il we don’t get divorced, we’ll live together. You can protect your daughter for now, but not forever Austin, I’ve got nothing left to lose.” Courtney slowly backed away. Before Austin and Alina could react, Courtney stood at the doorway to Phoebe’s bedroom.
Austin and Alina looked at Courtney in fear. Austin said, “What are you going to do?”
Courtney said. “I like children. If I were to die, I’d want to take a naughty one with me.” Courtney pushed open the door, walked to the bed, and fiddled
with Phoebe’s hair.
Phoebe was sleeping. She didn’t sleep well.
Austin and Alina rushed into the bedroom and held their breath.
Courtney made a gesture for them to be quiet and said, “Honey, be quiet. Otherwise, you’ll wake your daughter,”
Austin finally couldn’t bear it anymore, raised his hand in desperation, and said, “Courtney, I give up. I’ll sign! Let’s get divorced.”
Courtney sneered, “Sign the divorce agreement, please.”
She wanted everything that rightfully belonged to her..
Austin said nervously, “Courtney, your parents‘ inheritance is considered our marital property, so you will only get half! As for that old mansion, I can give you half its value. It’s impossible to get it back.”
He tried to negotiate with Courtney as much as possible and minimized what he had to give.
Austin added. “Besides, I don’t have that much cash. Please give me five years.”
Alina glared at Courtney and said, “Why should she get half? Does she even deserve it?”
Courtney smiled, opened a bottle of strong liquor, poured it over Phoebe, and fiddled with a lighter. Courtney said, “My things… Why do I not deserve
them?”
Austin’s face turned pale with fear. He looked at Alina and said, “Mom, she is crazy! Don’t provoke her.”
Courtney said. “The old mansion is my pre–marriage property. How can you only give me half of it? Austin, you’re shameless. I don’t care what you must do, but I want the old mansion back. Do you understand?”
Courtney lit the lighter and said, “Is money more important than your daughter?”
Courtney’s eyes burned painfully at the corners. This was the last thing she wanted to resort to.
She felt like she wasn’t herself anymore.
But it was all because Austin pushed her to this point.
Austin shouted, “Alright! Didn’t I sign it?” Austin went to get the agreement, signed it again, and said, “Why need i sign it again!”
