Chapter 11
Mandy was even more puzzled when she saw the confusion in Violet’s eyes.
thought that Dylan just hadn’t told Violet about him studying abroad. She didn’t think that Dylan would actually also keep Violet in the dark about their dece
If that was the case, how did the dirt ce agreement even get signed!
Violet stared at the diverer certificate. Her eyes grew dark as she felt an indescribable anger rising in her. She thought Dylan had only managed to get her to sign the agreement. She didn’t think he’d obtained the divorce certificate, too!
Habe remembered correctly, they needed to wait a month after signing the agreement before the certs were obtained. In other words, Dylan had been preparing to divorce her at least a
When Violet felt Mandy’s suspicious eyes on her, she just glowed it over perfunctorily. She then asked Mandy why she wanted to see her marrying Archer.
Mandy chuckled
“You were so deeply in love with Archer back then, even early dying rice for him. Now that he’s back and Dylan’s longer your husband, 1 thought.”
In the past, everyone had told Violet that she wasn’t suitable to be with Archer. But now that the both of them had divorced, suddenly, the whole world thought that they belonged together. An uncomfortable feeling arose inside Violet.
“I never agreed to divorce Dylan
She didn’t know why, but the mere thought of divorcing Dylan made her feel panicked and ancy.
Violet had long beemed to Dylan looking after her for the past five years. If Dylan really were to leave her, she couldn’t imagine just how much her life would be without him
Also, she still thought Dylan was just sulking. He loved her too much, and he was just making a fuss about the divorce agreement
As for Aacher, Violet couldn’t deny that she really liked him a lot. After all, he had been her first love. She had also been thinking about him for so many years. But yet, she just couldn’t bear to think of letting Dylan go
Seeing the dilemma in Violer’s eyes, Mandy took out a document from has drawer
Violet caught sight of the document title at once. It said, “Repayment Agreement“, and Dylan’s signature was right at the bottom of it. Her eyes widened.
“Mom? What is this?”
Violet was her daughter after all, and Mandy didn’t want to hide it from her.
“When Archer went abroad, you lost all hope in life and became so depressed and desolate. That was why I thought of finding someone to help you out of your depression.”
And since Dylan happened to be right there to express his gratitude toward them, Mandy discussed it with him and they had both come to an agreement,
Dylan only had to accompany Violet for Free years and help her forget her fald relationship. That was all he was obliged to do as per the terms of the contract.
Honestly speaking, Dylan had done a fantastic job for the past five years. However, he kept reminding himself of the contract, which was why he continued referring to Mandy as “Mrs. Fadden” instead of by name or even calling her “Mom“.
Initially, Mandy hadn’t wanted Arches to ever return to the country. That was why she had treated Dylan like her actual son–in–law
But nobody would have thought that as soon as the five–year contract was up, Archer would return home, and Violet would get into a second car crash because of him
Mandy had been heating, wondering how to explain things to Dylan, when Dylan first contacted her and offered to back out of the marriage by initiating a divorce
Violet couldn’t hear a single word of what Mandy said after that She clutched the agreement rightly in her hands as she shool. Her mind had gone completely blank. What had she just heard?
So, Dylan had only been eating her will because he was repaying Mandy for her k
kindness?
Dylan never loved her after all?
Was that why Dylan couldn’t wait to divorce her as soon as Archer came back?
But his eyes used to be so full of love for her! There was no doubt about it if he hadn’t loved her, why would he jump into the raging sea for her? and how could he have been so good to her for the last five yours?
Violet read the agreement with a complicated look on her face. The agreement clearly listed out everything Dylan had to do for has over the course of the five years he was married to her The more violet read the agreement, the darker her expression became.
Part and parcel of the things Dylan had to do for Violed was ascial as being responsible for her life and as minuta as putting out the slippers for her at home..
Every single thing Dylan hadde for her for the past five years had been nothing but an obligation to discontract
He harbored no personal feelings toward her at all.
