However, before I could react, Corey slapped Ethan in the face.
He seemed to be helpless to the extreme, and even his eyes. revealed a hint of grievance.
“Ethan, don’t be like that!
“Our family is already a mess.”
I saw it clearly.
He didn’t actually speak up for me. He was just afraid if I left, he would have to make time to look after Ethan.
Ethan felt so wronged that he burst into tears, pointing at me and accusing me, “She’s the one who made a scene. Didn’t she want a divorce? Let her leave.”
Although we were a family, I felt like I was an outsider.
But the embarrassment didn’t last long.
Sienna came and brought fish soup for Ethan.
“Ethan.” She said sweetly with gentle and beautiful smile, “Look what I brought for you!”
Ethan immediately smiled, and his mood turned better.
“It smells so good. Ms. Grant, you’re the best, unlike some

Ethan rolled his eyes at me.
“It’s better if she doesn’t calm down. That way, she will leave. Then, you can stay by my side, Ms. Grant.
“Ms. Grant, can you stay?”
“That’s nonsense, sweetie.” Sienna pretended to be her smile said differently.

Then, I said in a serious and cold tone,
“Ethan, I really want to leave you alone, but I have to remind you. You are allergic to seafood.
“You’ve just survived from an allergic reaction. If it happens. again, you might die. Do you know?”
I didn’t exaggerate.
Sienna immediately stood up, flustered and blushing, sis
about to cry.
“I… I didn’t know that.”
Corey furrowed his brow deeply, looking somewhat displeased. “Couldn’t Ethan have fish?”
Ethan was also puffed up with anger.
“I can have fish. Every time I get sick, you make me fish soup. Why can’t I have Ms. Grant’s fish soup?
“I must have this!”
I clenched the food box tightly, refusing to let go. “Can’t you tell this is a sea fish?”
“Actually, I remembered it wrong. I made this with a river fish,” Sienna sniffled and said with a sense of grievance.
Ethan and Corey’s expressions darkened at the same time.
I didn’t plan to explain it. I intended to let the doctor take a look.
But unexpectedly, Ethan reached out and pushed me hard.
“Enough!”
I lost my balance, and most of the hot soup spilled onto me.
The pain made my face go pale all of a sudden, and my whole body was shaking.

But the first thing he said was, “Lena, you have gone too far this
time.”
I caressed my burnt hand, feeling a chill inside me. “Yes, I went loo far.”
I was far loo kind.
Suppressing the overwhelming urge to cry, I shook off Corey’s hand and walked out.
As I was leaving, I could still hear Ethan’s voice.
He insisted on drinking the remaining soup in the food box to prove Sienna’s innocence.
I paused for a moment but didn’t turn back.
When my wound was being bandaged, some noise came from the corridor.
I vaguely heard a doctor complaining, “He was sent over for having an allergy reaction. But he’s having one again now. What kind of parents he has?”
The nurse who bandaged my wound looked at me with a strange expression.
“Madam, I seem to know you. The one with allergies is your son, right?”

I had brought Ethan to the hospital numerous times because of hist poor health.
It was expected that the nurse knew me.
I smiled faintly. “You’ve got the wrong person. I have nothing to do with that kid.”
