My unexpected arrival made them look embarrassed.
Sienna was the first to react. She quickly changed into a gentle and perfect smile.
Two dimples faintly appeared at the corners of Sienna’s mouth when she smiled.
She did resemble the image of the typical childhood sweetheart that only appears in good memories.
It was the same as the smile on the old and wrinkled photo secretly kept in the wallet’s compartment of Corey.
She was the girl who grew up with him.
She was also the girl that he could never erase from his heart for at lifetime.
Just thinking about the fact that I once secretly vowed to replace the girl Corey loved with myself eventually, I couldn’t help but mock myself.
Some people would win simply by being present.
“Corey, is this a maid of yours?” Sienna winked at him, and her tone was gentle and without malice.
Corey’s face no longer wore a smile, and he coughed lightly.
“This is my wife.”
Chapter 5
“So, this is Mrs. Skye.” Sienna’s eyes instaly dimmed, and
the smile on her face faded away. A tumult of various emotions swirled within her. Yet she still reached out her hand to me.
I didn’t refuse, and with a smile, I introduced myself, “Hello, I’m Lena Colton.”
I didn’t regard myself as Mrs. Skye.
Corey took the opportunity to explain himself, “Sienna is a childhood friend of mine and also an old classmate. She doesn’t come back often, so I spent some time catching up with her.”
“Yeah.” Sienna walked over to Corey, placed her hand on his shoulder, and leaned slightly forward.
That was a playful and affectionate posture.
“My relationship with Corey has always been like this since we were young. Mrs. Skye, you won’t be jealous, will you?”
“My name is Lena Colton.” I reminded her again, and my patience faded.
I turned to Corey. “I have something serious to discuss with you. Ms. Grant can’t be here.”
Corey’s eyes suddenly revealed a hint of impatience.
“You just delivered a tie for me. What’s the big deal?
“Why are you taking it out on Sienna?”
Chapter 5
Sienna’s eyelashes slightly fluttered as if had really bullied her.
I smiled faintly and said, “When did I agree to deliver you a tic?”
Corey’s handsome face immediately darkened. And his expression was very unpleasant and he was on the verge of fury.
“What do you mean? What about my meeting in ten minutes?”
I replied coldly, “Twenty minutes is enough for you to get the tie yourself. But you chose to flirt with her instead of getting it yourself.”
“Lena!” Corey suddenly broke out in a raised tone, and his fist clenched hard. “Don’t go too far. My patience has limits.”
He looked at me with great annoyance.
A trace of pride flashed in Sienna’s eyes.
She hurried to comfort Corey gently, “Corey, don’t be mad. I’ll buy one for you now.
“I know your style. It won’t go wrong.”
Corey massaged his temples, and as soon as he heard Sienna’s words, the tension in his whole body quickly faded away.
He replied in a relaxed tone, “Sienna, sometimes I really don’t know what to do without you.”
Sienna’s smile grew more complacent.
As she passed by me, she even bumped my shoulder.
I didn’t want to waste time on her.
So, I just took out the divorce paper from my bag.
“Sign it. Don’t make me repeat it. Otherwise, I will bring this to
court.”
Having his hands in his pockets, Corey sneered and looked at me with a disdainful expression.
“I don’t believe you will actually bring this to court.
“Lena, you played this trick three years ago, and it won’t work this time.”
