Chapter 21
Corey still didn’t give up, so he stepped forward and knocked on the car window.
He looked at Brian in the car with cold and sharp eyes, and his tone was a little angry.
“Lena, who is he?”
Before I could speak, Brian said sarcastically, “As her ex–husband, you should be self–aware. Don’t hang around her all day long to make yourself feel important. You have been divorced for so many years, and you have remarried. Don’t bother with her anymore.
“Who I am has nothing to do with you.”
Corey’s eyes were cold, with a sense of oppression and bloodthirsty killing intent.
“If you have the guts, tell me your name.”
Brian was not to be outdone. Even if he was sitting in the car, he still
did not lose momentum.
He had learned a lot from me over the years.
Brian stretched out his hand. “Mr. Skye, have you forgotten? I’m Brian Xavier, the deputy manager of Dreamboat Company.”
Corey raised his eyebrows slightly and did not intend to stretch out
his hand.

He just sneered.

“Dreamboat has been gaining power lately, but it’s not as good as the Skye Group.
“Lena, he’s just a deputy manager. When did your taste become so bad?
“Can he support you?”
Brian wanted to explain for me.
I gave him a look.
I raised my head and smiled coldly at Corey, then rolled up the window.
“Let’s go.”
Brian started the engine and drove away.
After the car drove away, I could still see Corey standing on the side of the road through the rear–view mirror.
Brian said indignantly, “He just looks down on you. He thinks you will come back to him if he beckons you. He really doesn’t know if he is worthy now. Does he think that all women in the world can only be supported by men?”
I listened to his words, feeling sad and funny.
“You saw through his nature after only meeting him twice.
“But it took me len years to see through him.
“Women really shouldn’t fall in love easily.”
Brian was silent. After thinking of something, he explained again, “Lena, I’m not like him.”
I took a deep breath and turned my face away from him.
“Thank you for acting with me today. It’s better to call me Ms. Colton. I don’t like being too intimate.”
“I understand.”
I could feel Brian’s burning gaze.
But I never responded to him.
I thought this matter was over, and I wouldn’t have any contact with Corey or Sienna.
But I didn’t expect them to bother me again.
If Brian hadn’t reminded me, I wouldn’t have known I was cyber–attacked.
Someone edited the meeting between Corey and me at the hotel that day into a video and posted it online.
The video even included Corey chasing away the drunk man for me and us pulling each other.
The shooting angle was a bit tricky as if I was going to throw myself into Corey’s arms.

Not only that, but there were also several deliberately staged shots at the dining table.
In every photo, I seemed to be staring at Corey with affection, just like me looking at a man I love but can’t have.

The person who posted it precisely pointed out that I was Corey’s ex–wife of ten years and mentioned not knowing why we divorced and I was trying to get back together with him.
There were no slanderous words in the post, but it was full of speculation.
