Three days later, a person I found somewhat surprising called me.
It was Corey’s mother.

“You even made Corey and Ethan chase after you. Now that you’ve got the attention you want, just stop this nonsense.

Her empty threats amused me.
I silently pressed the recording button and then said just one
sentence.
