Chapter 20
My heart skips a beat. His words sink in, and I know. I know very well that I can do this.
Something I’ve been craving, now happening. Of course, I won’t miss this chance.
Indeed, I am ready to take the leap. I’m not sure what the future holds, but I know one thing for sure–I want Harry in it.
“Yes,” I finally reply to him in a whisper. “Yes, I’ll be yours.”
Before I can even process what just happened, Harry’s lips are on mine.
It’s gentle at first, as it he’s testing the waters, but it quickly deepens into something more urgent, more desperate.
I kiss him back, my heart racing in my chest. This feels right–so right. Our tongues move together very well, every movement passionate, electrifying. The feeling is sensationally remarkable.
When we finally pull away, he rests his forehead against mine, his eyes soft and full of warmth.
“I’m glad you said yes. I was afraid of you not agreeing to this.”
I laugh a little bit. “Well, I agreed. There’s no need to think like that anymore. I’ve been scared for quite long, Harry. But I’m ready now. Ready to move on, ready to be with you.” He chuckles, brushing a strand of hair from my face.
“I’ll never let you go, Aria. You’re mine now. And I’m not going anywhere.”
“And you’re mine too, baby.” I give him a wild smile, fixing both of my hands on his cheeks.
We look deeply into each other’s eyes, our smiles not disappearing one bit. And then…I press my lips against his. While we’re kissing, the fireworks are all over the place, making the moment a memorable one.
Brandon thought he could wreck me, but life gave me someone magical. And now I’m under his spell. He’s definitely going to bring the best out of me. And I’m hundred percent sure that our love will last for eternity.
Brandon POV.
I stood on the balcony of my hotel room, the vibrant colors of the sunset painting the sky in shades of orange and pink. After the turmoil over Aria, I had finally taken the plunge to travel abroad, seeking both adventure and a fresh start. The realization that Aria had chosen someone else had stung, but as I watched the sun dip below the horizon, I sensed a flicker of hope for my own future.
Just like I’ve been spending the restless night without any sleep. The night turn into morning, I decided to explore the local market. The air was filled with the aroma of spices and freshly baked bread, and the lively chatter of the vendors created a symphony of sounds. As I wandered through the stalls, my gaze fell upon a small booth adorned with colorful fabrics and handmade trinkets. There, amidst the vibrant chaos, stood a vibrant young lady.
She was captivating, with a warm smile that lit up her face. Her dark hair framed her features perfectly, and her eyes sparkled with a mix of mischief and kindness. As I approached, she greeted him in accented English, her enthusiasm infectious.
“Are you a tourist too?” She asked, her face emanate a radiant expression as she beam a warm smile.
“Just trying to find myself, I guess,” I replied, chuckling softly. “This place is incredible.”
Sofia’s laughter was like music to his ears. “You should see it from the hills at sunset. It’s magical.”
Soon, the both of us quickly struck up a conversation, and he felt a connection that I hadn’t anticipated and we ended up walking around the local market.
As days turned into weeks, me and Sofia spent more and more time together. We explored hidden gems, from quaint cafes to stunning viewpoints overlooking the city. Sofia introduced me to her favorite local dishes, and in return, I shared stories of my life back home, excluding the fact about Aria. Each moment together felt like a breath of fresh air, a stark contrast to the heaviness I had felt with Aria.
One evening, we hiked up to a hilltop just as the sun began to set. The sky transformed into a canvas of brilliant colors, and I felt a sense of peace wash over him. We sat side by side, legs dangling over the edge, the warm breeze enveloping them.
“Do you believe in fate?” I asked, her voice barely above a whisper. I suddenly felt the urge to ask that question which I was anticipating her response.
Sofia turned to me, her expression thoughtful. “I think everything happens for a reason. Sometimes we just need to let go to find what we’re meant to have.”
Her words resonated deeply with me. I had spent so long clinging to the past, but here, in this moment, I felt free. I know everything was my fault from the beginning but I guess everything was a fate that can’t be deny. I glanced at her, my heart racing. “I’m glad I met you, Sofia You’ve helped me see things differently.”
That is what I came to realize that after meeting her.
Sofia smiled, her cheeks flushing slightly. “I feel the same way. It’s like we were meant to find each other.”
As the vibrant hues faded into twilight, I took a deep breath and leaned in, brushing my lips against hers. I don’t know what prompt me but It was soft and tentative, filled with the promise of new beginnings. Sofia responded, deepening the kiss, and in that moment, everything felt right.
Now, I had a choice to make. I could return home, burdened by the weight of my past, or I could embrace this new chapter with Sofia As I looked into her eyes, I felt a surge of determination. I wanted to build a future with her, to explore life side by side,
With the stars twinkling above them, I took Sofia’s hand, their fingers interlacing effortlessly. “Let’s make it a beautiful reality, together.”
And as we walked down the moonlit beach, I felt an overwhelming sense of happiness. I had discovered not just a new love, but a renewed sense of self, proving that sometimes, endings can lead to the most beautiful new beginnings.
Days turned into a whirlwind of laughter, shared dreams, and whispered secrets. I found myself falling for Sofia in a way I hadn’t thought possible after Aria. She brought joy back into my life, a lightness I had longed for. We talked about their futures, their hopes, and fears, weaving a tapestry of connection that felt both thrilling and reassuring.
One fateful afternoon, as we walked into a restaurant to have a lunch. We bumb into someone familiar….
“Hi Brandon” Aria greeted, extending her hand forward.
“Hello Aria” I replied and accept the handshake. I have nothing to lose anymore, I’ve already told Sophia about Aria.
We all sit round a table and it becomes a double date when we exchange words and laughter fill the air. I no longer felt guilty and heartbroken, I’m now free with love that will last forever!
