Chapter 76
Krystal paired a shirt with high waisted palazzo pants Naturally, she wore a lab coat as well. Her short hair was trimmed neatly, and she had light makeup o
sventuating het natural beauty.
She looked at Melody and said in a flat voice, “This is my spot. Can you find yourself another seat?
Things Immediately became awkward.
The embarrassed Melody took her tray of food and apologized, “I’m sorry.”
She turned around and glanced at Jeremy, only to see that he was still staring at his phone. He couldn’t even be bothered to lift his gaze.
Krystal sat across from him and said nonchalantly, “It’s a good thing you reserved the seat for me. That’s going to make it easier for me to talk to you. The patie on bed mumber nine suffers from angioma. When is his urgery scheduled for?”
They proceeded to talk about work as if no one else were present. Meanwhile, Melody swept her gaze across the cafeteria, looking for a sear
The table was only big enough for six people, to begin with. Harold, Caleb, Jeremy, Krystal, Tiffany, and another doctor, who went by the name of Susan Mark already occupied the table, forcing Melody to look for other seats.
The only problem was the number of people in the cafeteria during lunch break. She couldn’t find a seat for a moment, standing there alone with her tray of food. It almost seemed like she was excluded by everyone, making her look a little pitiable.
Harold rose to his feet with his tray of food before saying to her, “We have something to talk about, anyway. Come on, let’s find someplace else. We don’t have to mingle with them.”
His tone was somewhat playful when he spoke, but everyone was aware he was going out of his way to comfort Melody.
Tiffany saw it and immediately commented, “What are you two talking about? I have to be a part of it. I’m the only one who can have common secrets with Melody, not you!”
Her words caused everyone to smile.
Caleb grumbled, “What makes you think you’re entitled to something like that? Are you Ms. Wardolf’s mom or something?”
Tittany put everything back into her tray as she got up. Then, she gave him a look, saying, “I may not be her mom, but I can certainly be your worst nightmare!”
Then, she took her tray of food and held her head up high as she followed Melody and Harold to another table.
Krystal subtly glanced at Melody and said nonchalantly, “Harold is kind of close with both of them, apparently.”
Instead of responding to Krystal, Jeremy also raised his gaze and looked at Melody.
Melody tied her hair into a ponytail and coiled it into a bun at the back of her head to make things easier for her work. However, her hair was long. So, she added little flair to it, instead of throwing her hair up like most people did.
She had fair, radiant skin sitting next to a window, she looked exactly like a doll
Jeremy was suddenly reminded of Melody’s long, delicate eyelashes. His eyes narrowed slightly and gradually darkened.
All of a sudden, she turned around and looked at him. Her eyes looked pure, and their gazes met at this exact moment.
He was holding his phone a second ago, but his hand was now frozen. Without even thinking about it, he tapped on a document from Benson.

“I told you. Dr. Chirsson was checking you out,” Tiffany said softly to Melody.
Turning away, Melody lowered her gaze. She responded gently, “You read too much into it. He was probably looking at someone else.” “Who among us is worthy of his attention? Harold?”
Harold almost choked. Then, said to Tiffany helplessly, “Mind what you pay. Don’t just run your Melody didn’t respond to Tiffany, knowing that Jeremy didn’t care about her that much.
