Melody walked into the ward with a tray of medical tools and asked with a smile, “Why are you being difficult again, Mr. Comwell?”
Sophia immediately spoke up when she saw Melody, “Good grief. You’re finally here, Ms. Wardalf. My dad is very stubborn, and you’re the only one who could talk
some sense into him.
“It’s infuriating how he doesn’t want to cooperate with treatinent when the expenses here are up to to,000 dollars daily.”
Glancing at Sophia, Melody gently protested, “Why, he has been very cooperative. I was just asking. Dr. Lancaster about Mr. Cornwell, and he said that your dad is doing a lot better recently
Stanley looked over, and she took out the catheter as she said to him, “Here’s the thing. Mr. Comwell. This hospital mins on a high–profit but low–expenses business model. Your daughter’s right. We won’t refund you the hospitalization and checkp tees.
“For what it’s worth, you should hurry up and get yourself cured if you want to save some bucks. The longer you stay in the hospital, the higher the bill will be.”

Melody sighed. “Ordinary nurses lila me have to pay close attention to our own health every day. We can’t afford to fall sick because we also think the medical bill is too expensive”
Stanley scotted, “If you also think that it’s extortion, then discharge me right now, I’m done with the treatment. This hospital thrives by exploiting Its patients!” Then, he demonstrated how exasperated he was by grabbing a cup next to him and hurling it forward. There was some water in the cup, splashing its contents as it flew through the air. Some of the water fell on Melody’s hand too
The worst part was that it was a cup of hot water.
The sin on Melody’s hand immediately turned red, causing the ward to erupt in panic. As fate would have it, caleb and Jeremy were walking in the hallways of this part of the ward. When they heard what happened, they hurried over at once.
“What’s the matter?”
A patient lying on the next bed explained, “That old man poured a cup of water on the nurse. The cup was just filled with hot water not long ago.” Jeremy turned his gaze to Melody’s hand at once. She had a fair complexion, and the red, swollen patch of skin stood out so much that it looked alarming- Sophia immediately snarled, “Dad! What are you doing? Ms. Wardolf is just here to insert the catheter for you.”
Caleb also frowned. “Ms. Wardoll, hurry up and get your hand treated.”
Melody nodded in response. Herhand hurt so much that she would have cried if she hadn’t suppressed it, considering how much she was scared of pain.
She had just turned around when she heard Stanley’s trembling, weary voice. “I’m sorry, Ms. Wardolf. I didn’t mean to lash out at you. Age must’ve caught up with me. That has to be why I must be old and confused.”
Melody was sturmed when she heard what he said. She immediately flashed him a smile and offered some comforting words, “I’m aware of that. Will you give me a minute? I’m going to get my hand wrapped before I insert the catheter for you.”
Then, after thinking about it, she chose to squat by Stanley’s bed. “Forget it. It’ll just take a second. By the time my hand is wrapped in gauze, it’ll make my job harder. So, let’s do you first.”
Melody moved fast and inserted the catheter for Stanley. Then, she told him to refrain from moving too much and adjusted the IV drip before she left.
Jeremy followed her out of the ward. Her smile faded as soon as she stepped outside. The burn on her hand was too much to bear
When she sensed that Jeremy was behind her, star stopped walking and asked, “Is there a reason you’re loolding for me?
He stared at the bum on her hand before looking at her. “Why didn’t you treat your hand first
“Incerting the catheter only took a second. It’s not going to affect my hand
jeremy protested in a deep voice, “But you can’t guarantee that you can use your hand steadily. You might’ve endangered the patient if you inserted it in the wrong
Melody gulped and explained softly, “I can guarantee that it’s line “
“Your guarantee means nothing. You’re expected to strictly follow the rules in your work.” Jeremy’s tone was faced with a coldness and displeasure that not even he noticed. “You’re not the only nurse in the hospital. Don’t overestimate your importance here.”
