On top of that, she never complained no matter how demanding the workload.
Benson wouldn’t have kept her in the department for a long time if it weren’t for that.
Melody let out a small sigh of relief after hearing his thoughts, “Then 1…” she started.
“Don’t nash,” Demon interjected. “nary should have told you already, right? Your situation is unique, and it affects others as well. That’s why we need a formal discussion before making a decision.”
Melody understood that this was the furthest Benson was willing to bend. She didn’t push further, and simply offered a grateful nod before leaving
However, just as she stepped out, Jeremy walked in. They brushed past each other, and she caught the faint scent of lemon on him.
Her steps faltered for just a second before she continued out the door
Meanwhile, Jerenty placed the patient tiles on Benson’s desk and turned to leave,
However, Henan stopped him.
Jeremy glanced back, his gaze lowering slightly. “Is there something else you need?”
“I just wanted to ask you something.” Benson removed his glasses, a knowing smile playing on his lips.
Benson had mentored Jeremy from his student years till now, and he understood this young man better than anyone else,
He asked, “What do you think about Melody? Do you think she should stay?”
Jeremy’s brows fucowed slightly. His voice was flat as he countered, “Why are you asking me?”
“Well, since we’re gathering everyone’s opinions, we need to ask each person individually,” Benson said, tapping his fingers lightly against the desk
“It we leave it for the meeting, people might hold back out of politeness. What if no one dares to speak the truth?”
Jeremy was stem for a moment before replying, “Whether it’s beating loss or any other condition that hinders normal function, it’s not ideal for medical professionals.”
Benson’s expression remained unchanged. “That’s true,”
After all, how could a healthcare professional care for others if they couldn’t even look after themselves? Especially in neurosurgery, where precision and accuracy
“But as a nurse, she’s serious and responsible,” Jeremy added.
Benson was surprised “Are you praising her?”
Jecetry wasn’t one to compliment others.
However, Jeremy only shot Benson a cool glance. “I’m just stating the facts.”
The meeting regarding Melody was held during the lunch break and squeezed into a quick live–minute discussion.
Benson got straight to the point. “That’s the situation. So, let’s vote. Should Ms. Wardoll stay? Those in favor, raise your hand.”
Meanwhile, Melody was standing to the side clenching the hem of her uniform.
She knew it was understandable if people didn’t ward her to stay. After all, no one would willingly take on extra burdens.
Tiffany was the first to raise her hand. “I’m in Mel does the most work around here, and we’ve all seem it!”
“I think Ms. Wardoll is great too,” Harold added.
Caleb quickly followed. “I don’t see any issues with her. Even the old man in Bed 4
only wants her to draw his blood.
“I did rounds today, and he grabbed me just to ask where she was and why she hadn’t come back yet.”
The room buzzed with voices, one after another, speaking up in support of Melody.
Almost everyone raised their hands, except for Jermy and Krystal
Melody’s ganglanded on Jeremy, her eyes flickering with uncertainty.
She but her lip and slowly lowered her gaze, her fingers tightening even further on her unidorm
Harold nudged Jeremy with his elbow, lowering his voice, “What’s your deal? Why aren’t you raising your hand?”
