Chapter 60
Kelly wondered what would happen.
Leon had no idea, either. Was he going to let her pursue the man she loved if he wasn’t th -one? He didn’t think that he could watch that happen.
“Nothing.” Leon said in a hoarse voice and patted Kelly’s bead. “Go hang out outside. I’ll do the dishes. “
They were having such a serious conversation that the dishes weren’t even done yet.
Kelly stared at Leon hesitantly, but he misunderstood her. “I’ve told you that I’ll do the dishes, and that’s it.”
“It’s not about that Kelly paused for a second.”
“Leon, may I communicate something to you?”
Grinning, Lean thought that she was rather quick in applying what she had just learned. “Sure.”
Pointing at the leftovers on the counter, she said, “May I finish that? I didn’t have my fill earlier.”
She was worried that Leon would think of her as a big eater, so she refrained from eating too much. As a result, there were leftovers.
Leon looked at her speechlessly, and she chudded sheepishly. “It’s a shame to waste food. Being thankful for food on the table is a traditional value of our nation. Mischief was written all over her face, and vigor had returned to herepes.
Leon knew that she had understood what he said tonight, and his heart eased up. “should I prepare more food for you?”
“It’s fine. The leftovers are enough. I’m not such a big eater. It’s easy to keep me.”
As the sounds of dishes echoed from the kitchen, Kelly finished the leftovers in the dining room and licked the plate dean. A satisfied look washed over her face, and she bumped to finish off.
Leon happened to be done with the dishes and was walking out. Their eyes met, and Kelly blushed.
“I was just wanning up my voice,” she explained, which only made it more obvious.
Leon was quiet, thinking that he wasn’t a fool.
The next day, Kelly went to the supermarket with Lean, and they strolled around the supermarket with a shopping cart…
Leon wrapped his slender fingers around the handle of the shopping cart. His sleeves reached his wrists, and every joint be exposed was attractive.
Kelly was secretly happy. The way they were shopping now seemed like a couple who had been in love for years. Their interactions were natural and heart–warming “Is there anything you’d like to buy?” Leon asked.
Kelly snapped back to hersenses “Nothing”
“What about something to eat?” he asked again
Nothing came into Kelly’s mind, so she shook her head again.
Leon pushed the can to the seafood section. A fishy smell lingered in the air, and it made Kelly’s stomach chum
Noticing the frown on her face, Leon said, “Roam around the fruits section and see if there’s anything you’d like.”
Did he just ask her to roam around the supermarket like a child? Kelly didn’t force it and dragged her feet to the fruit section.
The fruits were fresh Kelly browsed around, but her gaze drifted back to Lean unwittingly.
He was wearing a simple gray jacket, and the cart was in front of him while he picked the seafood. He carried an extraordinary flair, looking superior and graceful Kelly thought he was a dreamboat who was out of her reach, but he was actually such a down–to–earth man that life telt real when she lived with him.
Chce again, Kelly felt that she had found a great catch
“Did you find something you like?” Leon approached her with the cart alter
the was done picking seafood
Kelly swayed the bag inherland, “I picked two mangoes.”
“Let’s get more if you like it,” he said and dropped a few more mangoes into the bag.
Next to him, she whispered, “They’re expensive.”
Ite tooka look at her. “Don’t worry. I can afford it –
