Chapter 25 Enticing Dishes by Demi
“Demi, why can’t we settle our personal grievances with one another after the filming? We’re recording the show now.” Thomas seemed angry and frustrated
“Why should I spare you the humiliation just because we’re on television?” Demi shot backcoldly.
After seeing that, Nigel and others were afraid that she would be bashed online later on.
“Ana, this is my fault. I was too clumsy and used an entire box of matches to light the fire earlier. Now, there are only three boxes left after giving Mr. Yale and Chad two boxes while using one box up by myself,” Maria added eamestly while frowning
Actually, when she couldn’t light the matches the first few times, Demi had taken them from her and lit them instantly. In the end, they had used seven matches.
However, she had to come up with an excuse so t
so that the other party could avoid further embarrassment.
In the meantime, Thomas fell silent. He didn’t know if Demi had intentionally refused to give the matches to him or if she had really used them up.
“I’ll check the pot,” Demi told Maria before heading back to the kitchen.
“How are we going to eat?” Thomas grumbled, looking at Sanders unhappily.
Actually, he was furious with Demi. At first, he didn’t want the latter to be bullied, so he had wanted to switch roles with the person who had received the matches
from Demi.

However, it seemed as if Matt had taken precautions because he declared that the rest of them could only trade matches with Demi. Even if they managed to get matches, they couldn’t share it with another person.
In the end, Matt had said, “So, everyone must play the game seriously. If you win a prize, you won’t have to beg others for help.”
After hearing Matt’s instructions, Sanders Whitley said to Thomas, “Mr. Pitt, Mr. Hahn gave you two choices. The program crew will cook two packs of instant macaroni for you, or you can ask the others to offer you some food.”
Meanwhile, Thomas blinked and became angry. “But, we don’t have electricity or matches. How can we cook instant macaroni?”
Most Importantly, Ana hated the smell of instant macaroni. She was disgusted by it.
“Then, you can ask others for food,” Chad suggested.
While everyone else was talking, Demi continued coolding. Soon, she filled the table with dishes.
The fragrance of food wafted in the air, and everyone in the courtyard swallowed their saliva.
Maria looked very eager.
She participated in the show hoping that at least, she wouldn’t starve. However, she didn’t expect to eat such tasty dishes. Demi’s cooking smelled better than
those in a luxurious restaurant.
“Demi, Maria, please carry on with your cooking. I need to head back now, Wendy is waiting for me to get the matches,” Nigel hurriedly said.
Then, he strode outside.
“I have to go as well.”
With that, Chad hurriedly followed after Nigel. Both of them ran away like their lives depended on it.
According to the program crew, Thomas and Ana had to take the initiative and ask the others for food. Yer, they had taken Demi’s matches and asked the “enemy” for help instead. This was rather unfair.
Of course, if Thomas requested to eat someone else’s food, the others would agree to it privately, just not in front of Demi.
However, Thomas wasn’t a fool. He lonew what the others thought. So, he was extremely frustrated.
Demi had caused him to look so pathetic.
“I got it. I’llask someone for their food.”
Before he left, Thomas looked at the dishes on the table, smelling their aroma. Immediately, he was so hungry that he could barely walk away.
In the past, he had tasted Demi’s cooking before. After all, Demi had to pretend to be a housekeeper in the Pitt family, and she had often cooked different types of dishes for them. As expected, her food tasted great.
Thomas felt that Demi’s cooking had probably improved. Or perhaps that was because he was too hungry. He left hurriedly, as if he was escaping the place. He was afraid that Demi would hear his stomach growling.
