A Mashup of Memories 19

Chapter 19

Damien’s eyes widened the moment our lips met. This was our first kiss. I’d kissed him before, but it was on the cheek

He pressed a hand to the back of my head and deepened the kiss, flipping me onto my back after a while. Then, the kiss turned more aggressive and passionate, Even the air seemned to hear

  1. up

DamoDamo!I was a little out of breath, and my tongue tingled. I pressed a hand to his chest, my face red as I asked, Aren’t we moving a little too quickly?”

His eyes darkened, but I could see the desire in them. Sorry. I might have had a bit too much to drink.”

That was what he said, but he plastered himself to me and wrapped an arm around my waist. Then, he fell asleep like that. I tried to break free but found that I couldn’t move

I turned to look at Damien. His features were chiseled, and it looked like he was genuinely asleep

Since I couldn’t leave, I decided to spend the night there

When I woke up the following morning, I turned and ended up in a warm embrace. I opened my eyes to see Damien lying beside me. Upon closer inspection, I realized he’d changed his clothes and freshened up

I hurriedly sat up, but he woke up as soon as I moved. He reached out to stop me from getting out of bed. After a brief moment of hesitation, he said, Imade breakfast.Okay. Let me wash up before eating.I ran to the bathroom to see everything I needed already waiting for me. Damien had probably woken up long ago

He was waiting for me at the door when I came out. I smiled and said, You could’ve eaten without me.”

I wanted to wait.He looked calm, but I saw his ears turn red

I wouldn’t have expected Damien, who looked so stoic and serious on the outside, to blush so easily

After breakfast, Damien suddenly asked, We’re dating now, right?”

I laughed. Of course.”

He pursed his lips but couldn’t stop himself from smiling slightly

He told me to look around the villa after we finished our meal but forbade me from entering the kitchen. I glanced inside and saw the food containers he’d brought to the hospital when visiting me. In hindsight, he’d probably cooked for me that time

I headed to the living room and looked around. The place was decorated in cool tones, and it seemed Damien lived alone. There were some cards on the table

They seemed familiar, so I walked over to pick one up. I froze for a second before putting one into my bag. Then, I called in the direction of the kitchen, Damo, I have to go. I need to attend to something”

He caught up with me as I placed a hand on the doorknob. He pressed me to the door and kissed me before looking into my eyes and saying, Come back soon.”

I left the villa in a daze. I was still out of it when I got home

Dad told me about Jordan’s arrest when he saw me. I was briefly silent before humming in response and heading upstairs

I dug out a large box and grabbed some gifts from there. I’d only opened one of them

In the past, I thought someone had mailed them to the wrong address and had kept them while waiting for the rightful owner to claim them. But now, I pulled out the card I’d taken from Damien’s place and compared it to the ones on the gifts

They were identical

Damien had been sending me birthday gifts every year since college, and he’d written the same message on all the cards-Happy Birthday

However, there was an extra sentence on the year Jordan and I had gotten together. I wish you all the happiness in the world.”

The gifts were expensive yet catered to my tastes. There were heels, dresses, crystal ornaments…

I grabbed my phone and called Damien with a bright smile. Let’s get married, Damo.”

Okay,he answered without hesitation
