Chapter 11
Norman’s eyes landed on the serial der’s post. “The hunting gatrends here.”
A wave of relieved marmurs swept through the room.
“Thank goodness! Ms. Both is finallyout of this nightmare. She’ll be able to attend The Stellar Voices Awards Ceremony the day after tomorrow and accept her award!”
“Mr. Walsh already booked their tickets to Marlora Bay to celebrate her win. Now they won’t have to call off the trip. They can just relax and enjoy their getaway.” “Mrs. Walsh looked so much like Ms. Both to begin with, and after Mr. Walsh had her cut off her long hair and made her gain nearly five pounds, it’s no surprise she managed to trick the seriallaller!”

*Mr. Walsh, the serial killer just posted that the hunting game’s over!” Seth exclaimed, thrusting his phone toward Norman, his face glowing with excitement. “Ris
Juliet had stepped in to manage the crisis in Iris‘ place, and Norman should’ve felt relieved. But he didn’t feel an ounce of relief.
Juler had become the serial killer’s last victim. He didn’t know what the killer had done to her, but whatever it was, it had been enough to make him call an end to his deadly spree Iris slipped her arms around Norman from behind, her voice dripping with relief. “Norman, I can’t tell you how good it feels to finally sleep peacefully. Juliet really came through
for me this time.
“Giving her own doesn’t feel like enough. What if I gave her that crown I won at auction? The one that belonged to the princess of Elmaria?
She repeated herself a couple of times before Norman finally snapped back to the present
“What was that, Ris?” he asked.
Seeing the distant look in his eyes, Iris‘ heart dropped.
“Don’t worry,” she said, trying to sound reassuring. “Juber’s Immortal. She’ll be back three days after she dies. Everything’s
‘s going to be fineTM
“Right. She’ll come back,” Norman muttered, brushing aside the unease in his mind as he pushed her away. “You should head to bed early.”
Norman kept refreshing his Facebook during breaks in the meeting. He noticed users were buzzing with speculation.
“It’s strange how this serial killer just stopped his killing spree out of nowhere. The police haven’t gotten any closer to catching him. You’d think he’d keep going until they linally
caught him.
“Maybe the last victim gave him the biggest cush of his whole twisted game, so he’s lying low for now”
“I heard the woman the serial killer took–Ms. Roth–wasn’t just stunning but had a voice like an angel. Do you think he assaulted her before killing her?”
“That’s definitely possible. She was so beautiful that most guys couldn’t help but be drawn to her. It’s heartbreaking to think she had to endure something like that before she
Norman summed his phone down in frustration. “Someone get me all the traffic camera footage from around the concert hall. I want every suspicious person to ime kaunediately!”

“Mr. Walsh, just reviewing the traffic cameras near the crime scene isn’t going to cut it. We need to interrogate every staff member at the concert hall and find out who helped this serial killer!”

Seth picked up the shattered plane and handed it back to him, his eyes red with emotion. “Jullet lov might’ve pushed the serial killer to do something drastic… We need to find her fast and bring her home!”
“line, I’ll spend the night combing through the surveillance footage. You handle the interrogations!” Norman said, his voice steady but low.
He couldn’t bear to wait any longer. All that mattered was finding Juliet and bringing her back safely.
But after two sleepless nights of poring over the footage, Norman and Seth came up empty–handed The police investigation had hit a wall, too. All they knew for sure was that the person who’d taken jublet was a man..
