Chapter 12
Caleb’s expression Immediately stiffened as he asked, “You mean Sophia actually moved out?”
It was then that the warden looked at him in confusion and replied, “That’s right. You’re her boyfriend, right? How come she didn’t tell you about it? She had completed her studies ahead of schedule and had already moved out of the dorm. I think she stayed in the university guest accommodation last night–hold on! Where are you off to?”
Caleb didn’t even bother listening to the rest of what the warden said before dashing toward the university guest accommodation. He was just about to ask the receptionist at the front desk for Sophia’s room number when a cleaner walked by and said, “You won’t believe what I found in the trash can at the entrance this
moming!”
Having said that, the cleaner took out a box with an exaggerated flair, her face brimming with excitement as she exclaimed, “I actually found a diamond necklace! What do you guys think–real or fake?”
Upon seeing the familiar jewelry box in the cleaner’s hand, Caleb’s face fell. He grabbed it from the cleaner, opened it, and noticed the damaged diamond necklace inside. He couldn’t help but stagger back after seeing that. It was the very same necklace he had given Sophia.
He couldn’t help but wonder if she had completely given up on forgiving him. She had not only thrown away the necklace he had given her, but she had also graduated and left the university without even informing him about it.
He stood there, utterly dazed, while the cleaner eagerly snatched the necklace back and exclaimed, “What do you think you’re doing? I found this first! now even if you were the one who lost it before!
Caleb couldn’t care less about the cleaner. He immediately took out his phone and repeatedly dialed Sophia’s number–only to find that her phone was

He felt a growing sense of unease gnawing on him as he rushed out of the door, heading to the academic building in search of Sophia. However, upon arriving at the finance major’s classroom, Sophia was nowhere to be found. He instead noticed several of Sophia’s roommates
He grabbed hold of a few of her roommates and asked, “Where’s Sophia?
They stared at Caleb in disbelief before asking. “You mean you didn’t know this? Sophia has already left for abroad. Her flight was scheduled for today.” Caleb’s expression immediately shifted as he asked, “What do you mean by that? What’s she going abroad for?”
They exchanged bewildered glances before turning back to Caleb and asking, “You actually didn’t know about this too? Sophia got into Stellanford University in Mavrosia for her graduate studies. She went abroad to pursue her master’s.”
