Chosen Luna Chapter 364

Adrian’s Interrogation

Adrian sat cross-legged in the reinforced cage, his back straight despite the chill of the iron bars. The pack leader, flanked by two senior wolves, stood before him with a gaze sharp enough to cut.

“Start talking,” the pack leader commanded, his voice a low growl. “Why are you really here?”

Adrian met his gaze evenly, careful to maintain an air of calm. “I already told you. Two werewolves are in danger, and if we don’t act, it’ll be too late.”

The leader tilted his head, his amber eyes narrowing. “What danger? And who are these wolves to you?”

Adrian hesitated. Revealing Lyra and Eryon’s names might put them in even greater danger, but withholding the truth risked his life. He opted for a measured answer. “They’re not ordinary wolves. They’re part of something bigger—something the Vampire King is desperate to control.”

One of the wolves sneered, his voice laced with disbelief. “And why would a vampire care about that?”

Adrian’s jaw tightened. “Because if he controls them, it’s not just vampires or wolves who’ll suffer. It’s everyone.”

The pack leader’s gaze didn’t waver, but there was a flicker of something—curiosity or doubt—beneath his stern exterior. “Who are you protecting them from?”

Adrian exhaled slowly. “The Vampire King. And someone even worse. Someone who’s manipulating them as we speak.”

The leader exchanged a glance with his second-in-command, their expressions unreadable. “Names,” the leader demanded, his voice firm.

Adrian hesitated again, then decided to take a calculated risk. “Seraphine and Eira.”

A murmur rippled through the gathered wolves, their reactions ranging from shock to outright fury. The pack leader’s expression darkened. “Eira?” he repeated, his voice low and dangerous. “How do you know that name?”

Adrian kept his gaze steady. “Because she’s part of this. And if we don’t stop her, she’ll tear your world apart.”

The leader leaned closer, his tone menacing. “You have one chance to prove you’re telling the truth. If you’re lying, we’ll tear you apart.”

Adrian nodded, his resolve firm. “Then let me speak to Isla and Draven. They’re the only ones who can stop this.”

The pack leader studied him for a long moment before stepping back. “You’d better hope they agree. For your sake.”

As the pack dispersed, Adrian leaned back against the cold bars of the cage, his mind racing. He knew he’d taken a gamble, but it was his only chance to save Lyra and Eryon before it was too late.
