Chosen Luna Chapter 287

Secrets Revealed

The arena had gone quiet after the chaos of the final match. Eryon made his way through the dimly lit corridors beneath the stands, the key clutched tightly in his hand. His chest burned where the vampire knight’s blade had struck, the faint glow of his amber blood hidden beneath the torn fabric of his shirt.

He could feel her before he saw her.

Misery stepped out from the shadows, her expression unreadable, though her crimson eyes gleamed with a dangerous curiosity. She leaned casually against the stone wall, her blade sheathed but still within easy reach.

“Congratulations,” she said, her tone laced with irony. “You were… remarkable out there.”

Eryon tensed but kept his voice steady. “What do you want, Misery?”

She smiled, slow and deliberate, and took a step closer. “Answers.”

Eryon forced himself to stay still as she closed the distance between them, her presence suffocating.

“You’re good,” she said, her voice soft but edged with steel. “Too good. Stronger, faster, and smarter than you should be. And that blood…” Her eyes flicked to the wound on his chest, her smirk returning. “It wasn’t quite normal, was it?”

Eryon clenched his fists, his wolf growling beneath his skin. “You don’t know what you’re talking about.”

Misery laughed, the sound low and dangerous. “Oh, but I do. You’re not just a vampire. You’re something more… something rare.”

She leaned in, her voice dropping to a whisper. “You’re a wolf, aren’t you?”

Eryon’s heart pounded, but he forced himself to remain calm. “You’re delusional.”

Misery tilted her head, her smile sharp. “Am I? Or are you just very, very good at pretending?”

Before he could respond, she grabbed his arm, her nails digging into his skin. “Don’t worry, darling,” she murmured, her tone almost playful. “I don’t plan to expose you. Not yet.”

Eryon’s breath caught as Misery leaned closer, her lips brushing against the corner of his mouth. “You’re far too interesting to lose so soon,” she whispered.

She released him abruptly, stepping back with a wicked smile. “But don’t think for a second that I’ll let this go.”

As she disappeared into the shadows, Eryon leaned against the wall, his chest heaving. Misery knew. She didn’t have proof—not yet—but her suspicions were enough to make her a threat.
