A man was sitting facing the door. He was sprawled in his seat while smoking a cigarette.

Everyone had been joking at first, but Jack and Xavier frowned at what Jacob said.
“Stop spewing nonsense, Jacob. You’re getting married soon,” reminded Jack
Jacob kept going as if something had triggered him.
“It’s true that I’m about to get married, but she still loves me. She would rather be my mistress than leave me,” said Jacob.
“Jacob, you’re drunk,” said Xavier and reached for Jacob’s glass.
Jacob pushed his hand away and put the glass onto the table.

Everybody in the room was stunned for a moment, but William reacted first and burst into laughter while clapping
Jacob shouted at Eloise in embarassment. “You’ve lost your mind!”
Before Eloise could speak, William tossed a packet of cigarettes at Jacob and said, “Stop fucking picking fights!”
Jacob looked at him with wide eyes as he breathed heavily in anger.
Jack and Xavier quickly cooled the situation. One of them helped Jacob wipe his face while the other persuaded Eloise not to be angry.
“Jacob, we’ve been friends since our schooling days, so I’m willing to give you a chance for the joint venture. But..” William putted on his cigarette
tossed it to the floor.
He jerked his chin at Jacob and said, “Let’s have a drinking contest. If you win, then we’ll sign the agreement at Robinson Group tomorrow.”

William snorted with laughter and said to Eloise, “Could you please bring us some liquor, beautiful?”

“Don’t worry, he’ll be the one getting shitfaced tonight,” he said.
Xavier accompanied Eloise outside to get more liquor and explained about William and Jacob’s relationship with her.
