Chapter 70
“I’ve tried his seafood pasta. It’s good,” said Eloise
“I know right? He used to be a chef at our restaurant,” said Leela,
A thought struck Eloise, and she asked, “Then does he know how to make beef pies?”
“The beet pies he makes are wonderfull” said Lerki.
Leela told Eloise that William used to help out at the restaurant during his semester breaks instead of going home
The beet pies he made were so delicious that John was scolded by students from Aldi University for being unable to replicate the taste after William went
back to class.
“He was really the person who made it,” said Eloise in bewilderment. “By the way, there was a short–haired girl working here at that time, wasn’t there?
Η
It was just a casual question, but Leelablanchel
“You know Andrea?” asked Leela
“Her name’s Andrea? She delivered my beet ples once,” said Eloise
“I see. I thought William told you about her.” Leela sighed and said, “She passed away.”
Leela seemed reluctant to talk about Andrea, so Eloise didn’t ask further.
William and John returned after a while. There was another call and muscular man with them.
All three of them had bruises on their faces, but they were smiling.
William was carrying something in his shirt and ran over to Eloise when he saw her standing at the door.
“I picked some apples for you. They’re super sweet,” said William.
Eloise stepped forward and saw that he was indeed carrying a bunch of apples in his shirt. Every single one of them was big, round, and red
John tossed his metal rod aside and said, “You have no idea how embarrassing it was. William beat that guy up but insisted on picking some apples from his home before we came back”
William laughed and said, “He welcomed me, okay?”
“How do y you know?” asked John.
“He smiled,” said William.
“That was more like a grimace than a smile, dade,” said Joturi
Leela came over with a basket for William to put the apples into.
William held the basket up to Eloise as if there was gold in it and said, “I’ll wash them for you.”
Elouse made him put the basket down and tilted his face to her. She examined his bruises and said, “Let me dress your wounds first.”
“It’s nothing,” said William
“You still have to disinfect them,” insisted Eloise.
Willian gave in and said, “Alright, as you say ”
The first aid it was upstairs, and William led her upstairs
Eloise bent down to clean his wounds, but William pulled her onto his lap. Their attention quickly shifted away from his wounds when they were in that position
“A face like yours shouldn’t have any bruises,” said Eloise. Her mind was fuddled by his kisses.
“You like my face?” asked William.
“Yes.”
“Then I’ll warn them to avoid my face next time,” said William.
Eloise cluclded and asked, “Would they even listen?”
“Yes, we sat rules before a light to make sure it doesn’t go overboard,” said William.
By the time they went downstairs, Jolm and Olly were already drinking. William led Eloise over and introduced her to Olly.
Olly seed to dislike her and responded coldly. When he beard that they were engaged, he suddenly stood up and kicked his chair over.
Then, he stomped out of the restaurant angrily.
