“Long time no see!” Sophia quickly got up and approached the inxed–race, handsome guy with a bright smile.
She treated him differently from Quincey. She not only smiled widely but also looked quite eager to please.
“You are?” the guy asked.
Quincey chuckled softly and whispered to Eloise, “She’s trying to wann up to him, but he doesn’t even remember her.”
Eloise tugged at Quincey. “Let’s go inside.”
“No.1 want to watch the drama for a bit”
‘s smile was starting to tade when Maureen hurriedly introduced her to the guy. “This is Sophia, the campus beauty from our high school”

The guy thought for a moment but shook his head, raising an eyebrow. “But wasn’t the campus beauty my uncle’s girlfriend?”
Maureen laughed awkwardly. “Yeah, your uncle was both the campus beauty and the campus heartthrob.”
To spare Sophia from embarrassment, she joked, “The school walls had to be rebuilt every so often, and students from other schools would peek over them to watch
your uncle.”
Sophia forced a smile. “Of course, I remember. We even formed a protection group to make sure no one would steal our campus heartthrob.”
“I was the president of Class Six.” Maureen laughed
Quincey shook her head with a soft click of her tongue. “I feel embarrassed just watching them.”
Eloise pursed her lips. It was pretty awkward
At that moment, Sophia pulled Jacob over and pushed him toward the man, Liam Robinson. “You two attended the same middle school and were in the same class in high school”
Jacob didn’t like the way Sophia introduced him so eagerly, with his hands in his pockets, he said indifferently, “We saw each other a few days ago.”
“Really? Sophia pretended to be curious.
“Yeah. We talked about a cooperation project.”
“Ah, that’s great. The process of working together will be smooth since you’ve lawn each other for so long.”
Liam tilted his head, smiled lazily, and extended a hand. “You’re not mad at me, are you?”
Jacob snorted, extending his hand to lightly bump his. “Cooperation needs mutual benetit. Since the chances of winning are slim, there’s really no need to cooperate.
“I like your attitude–so easygoing.”
“Kilbourne Group and Robinson Group are both on equal terms.”
“Well, it’s not the same. After all, so many companies are fighting to work with Robinson Group.”
Jacob’s expression darkened, and he shoved his hands back into his pockets.
The atmosphere became awkward, and Sophia signaled Maureen with a look
Maureen quickly grabbed Liam and pulled him toward the private room. “It’s a bit noisy out here. Let’s go inside and have a drink.”
Liam playfully lifted Maureen’s chin, malding her giggle. As they passed by Eloise and Quincey, Maureen glanced at them and smiled even more widely.
Quincey nudged Eloise with her elbow and whispered, “See? There are always people above others. Sophia has to suck up to that mixed–race guy, and Jacob also has times when he gets locked down”
“Jacob, I see you and Liam are pretty close. His entertainment company is investing in a big historical drama, and they’re picking the cast. Many big and small stars are fighting for roles.
“I really like one of the characters in it. Could you help me talk to Liam about it?” Sophia whispered to Jacob.
Jacob frowned. “So, you brought ine here tonight to get resources for yourself?”
“I have no choice. I’m not close to him, but I know you two are good friends.” “We haven’t been good friends for a long time.”
