Chapter 95 You’re Wearing a Fake
Levi’s expression immediately hardened as he reached for the phone. Elsa quickly pulled her friend and retreated. She then feigned innocence and said, “You’re the one who did something wrong and won’t admit it, Jane. How can you allow such a man to threaten us
now?
“I mean, we only bumped into you on your date. Is there something wrong with that?”
I narrowed my eyes and sneered, saying, “If that’s the case, I can also publicize the video of you and Jeremiah cheating behind my back. Go ahead and post that photo, then. I’d like the online users to judge who’s at fault in this situation.”
Upon hearing that, Elsa’s face immediately paled. But she refused to back down and bit her lip, saying, “I know you hate me, but you can’t falsely accuse Jeremiah and me like that, Jeremiah and I are completely innocent. You, however, are the one cozying up to Mr. Flint while meeting another man here. Isn’t it tiring juggling three men at one? Is love just a trivial pastime to you?”
I had seen enough and was tired of Elsa’s hypocritical act. “How is any of this your business? Why are you poking your nose where it doesn’t belong? And besides, when you and Jeremiah betrayed me, where was all this talk of love then?
“I really don’t want to waste my breath on you, but if you keep this up, I won’t hesitate to show everyone who you really are, Elsa. You do remember what I warned you about, right?”
Elsa flinched, her shoulders shaking. In that instant, one of her friends stepped in front of her defensively and said, “You’ve gone too far. Jane! I’m sure Elsa was only thinking about your best interests and the Brown family’s reputation.
“You, however, have not only accused Elsa of being involved with Mr. Cornell, but you’ve even insulted her. You’re not worthy of being her sister!”
I couldn’t help but sneer inwardly, thinking that I didn’t need a sister like her either. I rolled my eyes, and a sarcastic smirk tugged at my lips when I took in Elsa’s outfit. “It seems appearances can be deceiving, especially when one is wearing fakes.”
Elsa and her friends stiffened at the accusation, their faces flushed with indignation.
“You need to have evidence to make such an accusation, Jane! How dare you accuse Elsa of wearing fakes!”
“You ought to know that the clothes Elsa is wearing are part of the exclusive collection by Eirlys, with only ten pieces available globally!
“Exactly! You’re just a country bumpkin who thinks you’re something because you know a bit about fashion design! I doubt you’ll ever get to wear something this beautiful. I bet you’re just green with envy over Elsa!”
I couldn’t help but raise my brow in amusement. Levi, who was standing beside me, couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
“you seem to be a big fan of this renowned designer. It seems like you don’t realize that all her designs come with a special logo, though. It’s clear that the piece you’re wearing is a fake since it doesn’t have it, yet you’re still acting so smug about it.”
The faces of Elsa and her friends immediately turned pale. They exchanged nervous glances and frantically searched for the logo, only to find it absent.
Elsa nervously bit her lip and then retorted confidently, saying, “Who said all of Eirlys” designs have unique logos on them? I’m wearing a custom piece, so, of course, there’s no logo on it. I bet you’re just talling out of your hat, pretending to appear knowledgeable.”
In that instant, Elsa’s friends jumped to her defense.
“You’re only saying that because you can’t afford an authentic piece. I bet that’s why you’re going after Elsa!”
