Chapter 94 A Sorry Lot
I couldn’t help but teel the heat rush to my cheeks. It was strange, but in that instant, Eric’s behavior seemed even more cunning and manipulative than I had previously thought.
It was only after Levi was done with the dishes that he discovered that Eric had left.
Levi muttered in annoyance, “I can’t stand being around that guy! He’s so full of himself, always talking like he’s the most important person in the room. And besides, his style is even more over–the–top than mine!!
1 couldn’t help but burst out laughing. If Levi had ever seen Eric in a rage, he definitely wouldn’t have made such a remark.
“Alright, alright. Let’s head over to the studio now. If there’s anything else we need, we should take care of it in the next couple of days so that we can get the studio up and running soon.”
Levi nodded in agreement and accompanied me to the studio. After a brief inspection, he remarked, “Although I dislike Eric, I must say that this studio is rather impressive. Do you think we should add more office space, Jane? If our design team expands in the future, it might be inconvenient to make alterations later on.”

I thought Levi had made a valid point. We were a well–established brand, but the current studio in Caldera was still in its developmental phase and required the recruitment of additional design professionals. It was also the reason why Elsa had told me wanted to work for me
Levi and I then had a brief discussion about work. I took the opportunity to propose a meeting with a clothing manufacturer as well, thinking that although we had already secured the necessary investment, a partnership with a clothing manufacturer remained essential.
I had just walked out of the studio when I noticed a few familiar figures snapping photos of the logo on the building behind me. It was Elsa and her clique–a group of wealthy heiresses who looked good on the outside but were nothing but a bunch of sorry lot
I was about to leave when Elsa spotted me. She then feigned surprise, loudly exclaiming, “What are you doing here, Jane? Are you checking out LunaGlo’s studio? I didn’t realize you liked this brand too! It seems like we really do have similar tastes.
“I thought you were launching your own venture, though? Isn’t it rather impolite to just show up at another brand’s studio?”
It wasn’t long before Elsa was done speaking that her friends started to sneer and make sarcastic remarks about me.
“Why do you have to be so blunt, Elsa? I mean, your sister is more skilled at flattery and seduction than anything else. It’d be a miracle it she could actually start a successful business!”
“I guess she found out about LunaGlo’s new domestic studio and figured she’d come along to try and cash in on the buzz”
“You’ve been all over the news online lately, Ms. Jane. I thought you were close with Mr. Flint. How come you’re not here with Mr. Flint today but with another man?
It was also then that one of them took out their phone and snapped a photo of Levi and me.

Levi’s expression immediately turned grim. He positioned himself in front of me as he glared at Elsa and the others. He snapped, Who gave you the right to take our photos You’re Infringing on our privacy and portrait rights. You have three seconds to delete that photo, or we’ll be dealing with this at the police station.”
They were clearly shaken by Levi’s glare as they stepped back in discomfort, attempting to hide their phones behind their backs. “Why should I delete it? Jane is known for her promiscuity anyway. What’s she worried about getting her photo taken?”
“I bet she has flirted with countless men before this. It’s just one photo anyway. It won’t do her any harm, and posting it online might actually boost her fame!”
