Chapter 39
Spencer looks at the mirror twice before grabbing the phone from the dressing table. His hand slowly reaches to his neck, trailing an invisible Mark that is around his neck, only visible to him.
Each touch of his own fingers burns his neck, like someone is throwing a fireball on his skin. His eyes shine coldly. Those vibrating eyes glint with a spark of crimson red.
With a soft grunt, he proceeds to leave. After listening to Clint’s words, he decided to attend the party.
“Will it be alright if I go there?” His fingers run through his hair with a hint of frustration, ” The date of my rut is – I don’t think my wolf will be able to handle something!”
He clenches his fist as he thinks of Benedetta being with another man. Despite everything, to his wolf, Benedetta is still his female. Her wolf holds a place of his wolf’s entire possession. So it will be hard for him to stay silent.
With a load of hesitation, he walks towards the elevator. His attention is entirely on his thoughts, so when someone taps his shoulder, he frowns, looking at the person with a cold gaze.
“Cool! Alpha Spencer.!” Clint grins as he walks in the elevator. “Let’s go. The party has started!”
Clint has been clearly waiting for him outside. He seems to be enjoying it. Spencer looks at him for once wondering what he is planning. Clint isn’t a Man who will remain so cool after seeing his daughter crying.
Whatever It is, Spencer finds himself standing outside the elevator soon enough.
Clint is enthusiastically dragging him out of the elevator, like a kid.
But both of them pause when they notice a woman is standing with a kid. The kid somehow looks familiar.
“Momma! It’s Daddy! Let’s go! It’s Daddy!” Dawn tries her best to make her mother walk. But Evelyn is not moving.
The party is arranged in the corner of the rooftop. The distance between the elevator and the party place is enough not to notice their presence.
“Who ar they?” Clint asks, while trying to recognize the woman.

Sacred Moon?” Clint furrows his eyebrows, realizing something unpleasant…
“It’s a pack from Germany.” Spencer explains more.
“How did you know her?” He asks, completely unaware of something.
She is Daughter–in–law of Vine’s formal Luna. She introduced her to me at a business party two years ago. She is the wife of her deadbeat son who doesn’t want to handle the official work
“I see!” Clint’s tone is weak and dismissive.
Although he knows that Benedetta and Diego are good friends, he has no idea that he has Luna and a kid. Vine’s formal Luna had a kid with her husband and Vine’s Alpha had cheated on her and made the other woman pregnant with another son. So even after their separation, Vine’s Alpha wanted him to stay behind and once he gets older, he will take the throne. But his mother opposed everything.

Although Spencer responds to his question, he feels goosebumps after realizing that he has been responding to them the they are friends.
“Let’s go! We should invite her as well.” Clint, with graceful steps walks towards Evelyn who is standing done with a salles expression.
“Luna Evelyn!” Spencer calls her name.
She flinches, and turns to see Spencer and Clint are standing behind her.

“Stop, Luna Evelyn!” Clint’s commanding tone is enough for Evelyn to freeze.
Dawn, who has been throwing tantrums, becomes silent as well
Clint, on the other hand, gets on his knees and reaches out to Dawn’s hand.
“Let’s go! I have two adorable ones who will be delighted to see you!”
“King Clint. Please excuse us. We don’t –!”
“It’s nice to meet you, Luna Evelyn!” He smiles, Holding Dawn in his arms, Clint looks at Evelyn who is having a conflicting emotional turmoil.
“We are having a party. Alpha Spencer is going to join as well. So let’s join us.”
“Will it be alright for you?”
She looks at him, her eyes dark and sharp.
Clint’s eyebrow slightly raises, sensing the pure hatred in those eyes. Lycans are best with their senses as well. There is no way won’t know what is happening here.

“Maybe! I think the question will be answered once you attend, so shall we?”
Clint grins and walks towards everyone. Dawn starts waving her hand towards Diego who is busy with the kids.

Clint sighs and turns to see Spencer and Evelyn. Unintentionally, he might have brought a drama. Inviting Spencer has a motive about the pendant but this…
Meanwhile, Spencer walks silently with Evelyn who isn’t feeling well enough to attend the party.
“I didn’t know that you were invited. We could have a brief meeting about our project!” She breaks the silence.
It’s fine. The sole purpose of this trip is to enjoy a break. But I was surprised to see you here, Luna Evelyn!” Spencer speaks politely, giving his attention entirely to the kids who are playing with Diego.
