Chapter 37 

Are you feeling better now?” Carlos said Killian both of them walk to the rooftop from the south that they booked for tonight. They’re going to  

have a BBQ party with meat, seafood and entertainment. So they had no idea what was happening. 

Although Clint, the twins wanted to start investigating the situation, Benedetta asked them to take it slow since she doesn’t. want to ruin her kids‘ fun. Everything will be supervised by them. So that the kids won’t feel uncomfortable.

Scarlet rests her head on Charlos’s shoulder and nods. Bryan’s silent. He is exhausted. 

However, the kids raise their head when they smell something delicious. 

“BBQ!” Scarlet mutters. 

“I love them, Uncle!” Bryan weakly says and tries to get down. 

But seeing a person sitting alone on the opposite side of the rooftop, Bryan exclaims…. 

“It’s that half naked uncle.” 

Scarlet looks at his direction as he shouts. 

Everyone, including Benedetta who is preparing the squid to grill, turns, looking at the direction where a person is sitting alone, facing the ocean. 

“Half naked uncle? What is he talking about?” Benedetta glances at the man who is already turning his head to them. 

‘Simon! Isn’t it –!” 

Before she could complete, Simon runs towards the man who is silently staring at them. The hint of embarrassment is visible on his face. But he remains silent. 

Matt! Vy are you here?” 

Simon looks shocked and speechless. There is no way Matt, his youngest brother with down syndrome, can be here alone. 

“Brother!” He slowly runs towards Simon, trying to hug him. 

But before he could stand properly, he fell flat on his face. 

“Matt! Are you okay?” Simon holds him, Dusting off his clothes, 

“I messed up again!” Matt’s face falls off as he pouts… 

“It’s fine. How did you come here? Who brought you here? Are you okay? Where is Annie? Where are your warm clothes? I told you that you should –!” 

“Happy Birthday, Brother!” 

Simon’s eyes widen when Matt hugs him tightly and behind hint everyone shouts together,” Happy Birthday, Simon!” 

He looks at his friends with disbelief. So the reason they were so into decorating the place just to have a BBQ party wasn’t for BBQs but his birthday. 

“Don’t worry! Matt was brought here with my people. He was with everyone.” Benedetta winks at Simon.

Scarlet hits Bryan’s head and shuts him up. “Didn’t you say you can’t talk because of your throat? You stupid!” Scarlet scolds and jumps off her Uncle’s arm.

Scarlet walks towards Matt who is laughing with his brother and pulls his shirt’s sleeve. 

Matt looks at her with confusion. 

“Hello, I am Scarlet and This is my dummy brother, Bryan! We are sorry for earlier.” 

She slightly bows with a remorseful expression. Bryan pouts but says Sorry, following Scarlet. 

“What happened?” Killian asks Carlos who is as clueless as he is. 

“No idea. But It seems like they’ve met before!” 

The twins seem to have found another friend to talk with. As words, obviously his mind is the same as kids. 

soon as they start talking, Matt becomes intrigued by their 

“Seems like we don’t have to worry about Matt being alone anymore!” Diego smiles, taking a few cupcakes that they baked before. 

In the meantime, from the other roof, Jasmine and Evelyn are standing, staring at Diego who is mostly engaged to help Benedetta around. 

Benedetta had no time to talk about Evelyn. So Diego is unaware of her meeting with Evelyn.

“The kids seem to be fine. Didn’t I say that they’ll be fine? You just worried for nothing!” She said, shaking the glass of wine. 

Evelyn gives no attention to Jasmine’s words. Her entire attention is on Diego who has forgotten about her sooner than she expected. 

“Momma!!!” 

Evelyn snaps out of her thoughts when someone holds her hand. She immediately turns her back, finding a young girl, looking at her with a pair of vibrant blue eyes. 

“Aren’t we going to meet Dadda? You promised me that we would meet him here. How long do I have to wait for Dadda? Does he want me? He hates Dawn, right?” 

Evelyn’s eyes widened in shock and heartbreak, seeing her daughter’s face turning red. She always gives her false hopes and can’t do anything. She failed as a mother.

Oh! Dawn! The sweetest girl!” Jasmine interjects and smiles. “Your father is here! Look!” 

Evelyn looks at Jasmine who grabs Dawn and shows Diego who is playing with the kids. 

What… what are you doing?” Evelyn asks. She doesn’t want her kid to know her father is with someone else’s kids.

“My Daddy! Is that my Daddy!? Momma!” Dawn, a 4 years old Omega girl, looks at her mother with great anticipation. 

Evelyn can’t lie to her daughter who looks really excited. She just nods with tears streaming down her face. 

“Mamma! I want to go to Daddy. Let’s go!” 

Dawn jumps off Jasmine’s arms like the height is nothing. She grabs Evelyn’s hand and starts dragging her away.” Let’s go t Daddy. Let’s go. Daddy is playing with them. I want to play with them too. Let’s go, Momma!” 

Jasmine clicks her tongue, watching Evelyn being dragged by her daughter, Dawn. It took her only a few hours to investigate Diego because of his father’s identity. One of the strongest but barbarian Alpha’s son isn’t hard to find. 

However, it led her to meet his father’s mistress who was pretty much a help to find about Evelyn. 

Evelyn’s personality is most similar to Benedetta. However, she has a very weak point. Her insecurities. When Benedetta gives a shape of her insecurities into her strength, Evelyn just gives up. 

Jasmine, who is an expert on manipulation, knows how to use that insecurities. After all, she has been using her skill to gain what she wants. 

She knows Evelyn, who has been dealing with all the official work on Diego’s place, will do anything to make him apologize and return to her. 

But to strengthen her plans, she looks at the Beta servant who is helping Benedetta to gril the mussels and squid. 

“Don’t disappoint me.” 

As she whispers, The Beta looks at her. With a blank expression, she just nods. She has been linking her mind to that Beta to get important information.
