The man before her was impeccably dressed and strikingly handsome, as if he had just stepped out of a classical painting. But the moment he spoke, Cynthia was pulled back to reality.
“Stop acting like you didn’t enjoy it,” Cynthia said calmly, not embarrassed at all.
Wearing high heels, she wandered in the house and glanced around curiously. Then she discovered that the layout here was almost identical to Greenfield Villa.
Jonathan stood up and walked behind her, wrapping his arms around her slim waist. His lips lingered near her ear, his voice laced with a certain ambiguity. “Why did you come to me last night?”
In truth, Cynthia regretted it. She didn’t want to be entangled with him any longer, but she had sought him out yesterday and even slept with him.
Cynthia turned around, cupping Jonathan’s handsome face, and gave him a light peck on the lips.
“Of course, it was for the interview. See? Didn’t you just walk right into it?” She smiled brilliantly, like a rose in full bloom under the scorching sun, igniting something deep inside him.
Jonathan raised an eyebrow and replied coolly, “If you don’t want to letting you go easily this time.”

Jonathan, barely restraining himself, replied in a hoarse voice, “Let’s meet at Greenfield Villa tonight.”
Cynthia seemed to consider for a moment. “Alright.”
Jonathan frowned. “You were just as quick to agree last time.”
Cynthia chuckled. “Don’t worry. This time I won’t stand you up.”
The office was connected to a large conference room. Cynthia entered through the internal door, arrived, she was already seated inside.

The assistant looked worried. Yesterday, Lilian had stolen Cynthia’s credit, thinking she could take her place. She had also prepared a stack of carefully crafted questions, meticulously reviewed by the entire team.
The assistant assumed Cynthia was refusing the notes out of spite. However, today’s interview was live. If anything went wrong, there would be no way to fix it.
While Lilian was in the wrong, this was a special situation, and the assistant thought Cynthia should prioritize the bigger picture. But with Cynthia refusing to take the notes, the assistant was at a loss.
Once Jonathan entered, the interview officially began.

As Jonathan slowly walked into the interview room, the camera instantly focused on his face. The live stream fell silent for a second before bursting into excitement.

The assistant, who had been worried, instantly relaxed. She glanced at the interview notes from Lilian that she was still holding, ready to pass over, and casually tossed them into the nearby trash can.
Cynthia’s questions were far superior to Lilian’s–more professional, in–depth, and sophisticated. In just twenty minutes, the number of viewers in the live stream surged to six million.
Finally, it was time for the last segment, and Cynthia wore a professional smile.
“Thank you, Mr. Bennett, for accepting our interview. We currently have six million viewers, all curious about you. Now we will select three questions from the viewers through screenshots for you to answer. Is that okay?” she asked.
Jonathan smiled graciously. “Of course.”
Under everyone’s watchful eyes, the backstage team immediately took screenshots of the questions from the live stream. The first question, Mr. Bennett, do you have a girlfriend?” said Cynthia.
After asking, Cynthia felt that the question somewhat invaded of his privacy. To ease the atmosphere, she smiled and said, “Mr. Bennett, it seems everyone is very curious about your personal life. If you find it offensive, feel free to skip to another question.”
“It’s fine,” Jonathan replied, appearing quite gracious. In fact, the screen was flooded with questions like this.

“I don’t have a girlfriend,” Jonathan answered succinctly.

Cynthia smiled subtly. His response was within her expectations. She was quite certain that she had been the only woman by Jonathan’s side in the past three years. It was a woman’s intuition
But she certainly couldn’t consider herself his girlfriend. Cynthia didn’t know how to label their relationship. It didn’t seem like they were lovers, either. Lovers typically had feelings for one another, but they only craved each other’s bodies.
The second screenshot appeared on the screen. “The second question: What kind of woman do you like?” Cynthia asked.
Jonathan seemed to ponder for a moment before answering, “A woman who can’t cook and has a mole at the corner of her eye.”
Cynthia was a bit surprised that Jonathan had already fallen for someone.
Of course, she didn’t narcissistically believe that he was talking about her. After all, she had never cooked for Jonathan in the past three years, so he had no idea what her cooking skills were like.
As for the mole, she did have a tiny one at the corner of her eye, but it was completely unnoticeable with makeup on.
Perhaps he has loved someone since long ago. Did he choose me initially because I looked like the woman he loves, with a mole at the corner of her eye?‘ she pondered.
