The moment Eleanor called out my dear brother” in surprise, both Andrew and Stephen, tangled up with Gloria, instinctively thought she was calling to them. They both perked up, ready to respond.
But when they turned around, they saw Eleanor rushing into the arms of a man they didn’t recognize.
Witnessing the scene not far away, Andrew and Stephen were of the verge of exploding. They screamed bitterly in their minds. Who is that guy? Why is Ellie hugging him?”
Andrew’s blood boiled, and his jaw clenched so hard that it was a wonder his teeth didn’t crack. A wave of icy anger surged through him, and without a second thought for Gloria or Stephen, he stormed toward Eleanor.
Stephen wasn’t much better. His brow furrowed, and his face turned cold, his long legs striding after Andrew, looking like h was about to lose it entirely,
“Hey, Andrew, Mr. Lloyd… Gloria tried to call after them, but the two tall figures didn’t even acknowledge her. They just kep walking faster and faster, leaving her behind, seething with frustration, but powerless to stop them.
Meanwhile, back in Class A, Liam and Felix were utterly dumbfounded. They watched Eleanor happily lead some guy back into the classroom, practically glowing with excitement.
The man was tall, with sharp, handsome features and a warm vibe. Even just standing there, he had this gentle, welcoming presence that made people feel at ease.
Both Felix and Liam’s faces darkened instantly when they saw the picture.
Liam, especially, couldn’t hold it in any longer. The more he looked at the guy, the more irritated he became, and he couldn’t help blurting out, “Boss, who is this guy?”
He was fuming inside, thinking. This guy gets a hug from Boss? I’ve never gotten one. I know everyone in the Vanderbilt family, and this guy definitely isn’t one of them. Hmph, he’s probably some nobody and even a bad–looking nobody
Eleanor had Ross sit down in her chair, even pulling the desk forward a bit so he’d be more comfortable.
Watching the whole thing. Felix was practically bristling. When he showed up. Eleanor hadn’t been so considerate. He’d had to move himself a chair to sit
Once everything was settled, Eleanor smiled and introduced him. “This is my brother, Ross Anderson.”
Liam’s face, which had already been gi
grumpy, looked even more sour.
Eleanor blinked her eyes, looking confused. What’s his deal? He was perfectly fine a minute ago, but now he’s acting all moody and weird, Eleanor thought.
She made up her mind that if Liam dared to act up or say anything rude to Ross, she was just going to give him a piece of
her mind.
However, the moment Liam heard the name “Ross“, he froze, log in thoughts.
Wait a second, his name sounds familiar. Is this guy from Boss adoptive family? Liam wondered.
His expression then did a complete change, and lae quickly put down his crossed leg and said, ‘Oh, so you’re Ross. I was wondering where the charming guy comes from. Hoss talks about you all the time, you know.
Eleanor thought to herself. This guy can really talk, his way around anything. When have I ever mentioned Ross to him?

Felix’s expression, on the other hand, didn’t soften at all. In fact, it grew even colder when he realized it was her Ross.
Ross, ever perceptive, picked up on the shifting mood but kept a friendly smile, his eyes narrowing slightly. “Thanks for taking care of Eleanor
Liam felt a bit flustered by the compliment, waved his hands, and replied. “Ross, just don’t say that. Taking care of Boss–uh. I mean, my neighbor–is just what I should be doing. With me around, no one’s gonna mess with her.”
Ross gave a small smile and said, “Good.”
Meanwhile, Felix, watching their back–and–forth exchange, couldn’t hold back any longer and let out a sarcastic snort. Hmph, what a hypocrite,
Eleanor immediately glared at Felix, her temper flaring. “Shut up.”
She’d just started thinking better of him because of his recent help, but now he was back to his old, arrogant self and even dared to mock her Ross right in front of her. Eleanor wasn’t going to let Felix have his
way.
Ross, however, wasn’t fazed at all. He gently raised a hand to stop Eleanor before she could really blow up. “Ellie, calm down. No need to get upset.
Like an irritated kitten, Eleanor instantly retracted her claws and calmed down at his words.
Ross smiled slightly and looked at Felix, who was still radiating hostility. “You must be Felix, Eleanor’s sixth brother.”
Hearing the term ‘sixth brother seemed to hit Felix in a soft spot, and his face softened, if only a little, though he still huffed in annoyance. “Hmph.”
Eleanor’s temper flared up again when she saw Felix’s attitude. She tugged on Ross’s sleeve, her voice filled with frustration. “Ross, just ignore him. He’s not my brother. Counting you, I’ve only got six brothers now,”
“You.” Felix’s face turned livid with rage.
Eleanor, feeling quite pleased with herself, smiled smugly and retorted, “What? Did I say something wrong? Didn’t someone say if he ever recognized me as his sister again, I could call him a dummy?”
Felix’s face flushed red, and his teeth ground audibly. He complained inwardly. This petty girl Sure, I said those things, but it was in the heat of the moment. I didn’t really mean it. Plus, I’ve already lowered my pride multiple times recently to make up for my mistakes, and now she’s rubbing it in my face.”
Hearing Eleanor’s words, Ross let a shadow cross his otherwise friendly expression, but he quickly masked it.
Just then, the previously quiet classroom suddenly erupted with excitement, with other students gasping about those charming guys.
“Oh my, look! Another hot guy,” a girl suddenly screamed.
“Today’s our lucky day, huh? Three hunks came in one day. Who are they gonna support today? someone asked in curiosity.
Another girl scoffed, “Are you bland: Even if you don’t read the financial papers, you should know them from the news. They are the sons of the Vanderbilt and the Lloyd family”
Vanderbilt and Lloyd? So they’re here for Felix and Liam, hub someone asked.
“Yeah, probably the girl replied.
Eleanor followed the buzz
and heading right to herund her and glared up, only to see Andrew and Stephen walking straight into the classroom

The moment they spotted Ross sitting next to her, their already fold expressions darkened even further.
Andrew spoke first while extending a hand toward Ross in an overly polite but distant tone. “Hello, you must be Mr. Anderson. I appreciate you looking after Eleanor. I want to thank you in person, but I’ll attend the pep rally for her today, so I guess I’ll pick another day after this
It couldn’t have been clearer that Andrew was n
was marking Ross as an outsider.
Ross, unfazed by Andrew’s thinly veiled hostility, calmly shook his hand and replied, “Not at all. Eleanor is my sister, so it’s only natural that I take care of her. Besides, Mr. Vanderbilt, I hear you’re quite busy and fond of Ms. Gloria. Perhaps it would be better if I attended the rally for Eleanor, and you could handle things with your other sister.”
If Eleanor hadn’t been standing there, Andrew might have rolled up his sleeves to fight.
He thought. With his clean–cut and friendly appearance, this guy isn’t pulling any punches. He’s outright suggesting that I care more about Gloria than Eleanor, and he’s here to back Eleanor up!
