Chapter 115 I’m Not Going to Be Your Third Wheel Anymore
Sofia Schneider stared blankly at Nathaniel Hart, unable to process his question for a
moment.
Before she could respond, Nathaniel took another step towards her and gently pulled her into his arms.
The embrace was light, and if it weren’t summer with their thin clothing, they might not have even felt it.
The hug lasted so long that Sofia almost felt as if an hour had passed.
She had never experienced such a moment before. It seemed like time had stopped, making her forget to breathe.
After a long while, Sofia raised her hand and gently patted Nathaniel’s back. “Mr. Hart, you’ve been standing too long.”
Her voice was soft, muffled against Nathaniel’s chest.
Nathaniel didn’t immediately release her. Instead, he tightened his hold, pulling her closer.
If it weren’t for Sofia’s earlier warning, he would have hugged her even tighter, pressing her firmly against himself.
But now, he didn’t have the strength to do so.
After another moment, Sofia gently pushed against Nathaniel’s waist, prompting him to let
- go.
He said, “Sofia, thank you for helping me stand again.”
Sofia looked up, her face beaming with a bright smile.
She accepted Nathaniel’s gratitude.
“Alright, no more of this. From now on, you need to listen to me,” Sofia instructed.
Nathaniel smiled, interpreting her demand in his own way.

“Alright, I’ll listen to my honey from now on.”
Sofia suddenly felt something was off.
She had meant he should be careful and avoid doing things he wasn’t ready for as a patient.
But why did Nathaniel’s tone seem to imply something else?
Nathaniel’s eyes were full of amusement as he looked at Sofia.
Seeing her so adorably confused made him even happier.
His girl was truly cute, making him want to kiss her.
But this time, Nathaniel restrained himself.

Sofia, snapping back to reality, said, “Rest in your room for now. I’ll get you something to eat and come back for you later.”
She also wanted to check if Older Mr. Hart was awake, so he could see that Nathaniel was standing.
Now, Older Mr. Hart’s eyes were filled with tears as he saw Nathaniel standing as he used
- to.
He wanted to hug Nathaniel but feared hurting him.
He stood there, unsure of what to do, looking lost.
Sofia felt a pang of sympathy and looked at Nathaniel, urging him to take the initiative to hug Older Mr. Hart.
Nathaniel raised an eyebrow at her. She had just insisted he shouldn’t move, and now she wanted him to take action.
Giving Sofia a meaningful look, Nathaniel walked over to Older Mr. Hart and embraced
him.
“Grandpa, I’m alright now,” Nathaniel said.

Older Mr. Hart’s shoulders began to shake, and he buried his face in Nathaniel’s shoulder, his sobs audible.
Sofia felt a lump in her throat, her eyes turning red.
She rubbed her eyes and quietly left the room, giving them their moment.
Nathaniel watched Sofia leave, feeling a mix of emotions.
Nathaniel gently patted Older Mr. Hart’s back, “Grandpa, I’m standing again. You should be happy.”
Older Mr. Hart wiped his tears and said with a trembling voice, “I am happy, Nathaniel. I’m so happy to see you standing again.”
Nathaniel comforted him until he calmed down, then said, “But Grandpa, I don’t plan to announce this just yet. We need to keep it a secret.”
“This is good news. Why wouldn’t you want everyone to know?” Older Mr. Hart was
anxious.
He wanted to tell everyone that his grandson had recovered.
“The person who tried to harm me is still out there. It’s not the right time to go public,” Nathaniel explained.
“But when we go home, do you still have to pretend to be bedridden?”
Older Mr. Hart was reluctant.
If Nathaniel continued to stay in bed, it would feel unreal to him.
It would make him think the Nathaniel standing before him was fake.
Nathaniel replied, “I need to discuss this with Sofia.”
He was actually considering not going back for a while.
It was quite comfortable here, and staying longer wouldn’t be bad.
Most importantly, no one could find them here, and he could take the time to develop his relationship with Sofia.

Older Mr. Hart fell silent for a moment, then decided to let Nathaniel handle it.
“Alright, you and Sofia can decide,” he said.
“Grandpa, if Sofia and I don’t go back, I’ll need your help,” Nathaniel said.
Older Mr. Hart couldn’t stay here too long. They had been away from the family estate for many days, and people were bound to notice something was off.
Nathaniel needed Older Mr. Hart to manage the situation back home.
Older Mr. Hart understood but couldn’t help feeling a bit hurt.
“I see. You just want to spend time alone with Sofia. Fine, I’ll go back and leave you two to your couple’s world.”
Nathaniel looked at Older Mr. Hart helplessly.
He couldn’t argue with his grandfather’s childlike remarks.
“Grandpa, you want me to get along well with Sofia, right?” Nathaniel asked.
Older Mr. Hart did wish for that, but he still felt a bit unwanted.
“Alright. I won’t be a third wheel. But you’d better treat Sofia well. If you dare to bully her, I’ll deal with you myself.”
