Chapter 15
“Dr. Archer started acting differently when he saw the people outside the other ward,” Mike explained to Elisa. “They’re from the Curtis family. Their daughter was severely beaten and is in surgery right now
Elisa’s expression darkened as she processed the information. “Dr. Archer’s business is my business – It’s the Rivas family’s business. Mike, I want you to get to the bottom of this. It needed, we’ll step in and handle it for him.”
Mike nodded without hesitation. “Understood. I’ll take care of it.” He left the ward quickly, his steps decisive.
Inside the ward, Kyle looked down at Elliot, who was unconscious on the bed. His voice was soft hur steady as he spoke, “Mr. Rivas, you’ve lived a good life. This time, we’re going to challenge the Grim Reaper. You’d better back me up on this.”
He took a deep breath. “At the very least, I’ll buy you three to five more years. Enough time to enjoy the peace you deserve.”
Kyle’s hands moved with precision as he picked up the golden acupuncture needles. He delicately twisted one between his fingers and flicked it toward an acupuncture point on Elliot’s body.
All twelve acupuncture needles were placed accurately in less than twenty seconds.
Beads of sweat formed on Ryle’s forehead. This wasn’t an easy technique–it required speed and unparalleled precision. Every needle he placed had to hit its target perfectly, and the method was something no one else could replicate.
He removed the acupuncture needles from the points where the black blood had pooled and redirected them to other vital areas. The timing was everything. This wasn’t just healing–it was pulling someone back from the brink, defying nature itself.
After what felt like an eternity, Kyle finally let out a long breath. Color began to return to Elliot’s face, which had been ashen and lifeless just moments before. Kyle opened the door to the ward, and Elisa and Mike immediately shot up from their chairs, their faces tense with worry.
“Dr. Archer, how is everything? Are you okay? How’s my dad?” Elisa asked, her voice shaky.
Leaning against the doorframe, Kyle lit a cigarette and waved his hand dismissively. “He’s stable. He’ll wake up later today. But listen–you need to prepare yourself. He’s only got five years left, at most, I’ve bought him time, but that’s all I can do.”
He continued, histone firm but empathetic. “In these years, let him live peacefully. No more stress, no more burdens. Let him enjoy the life he’s eamed.” Five years wasn’t long, but for those who understood Elliot’s condition, it was nothing short of a miracle.
Elisa and Mike exchanged a look of utter disbelief. They both knew how die Elliot’s situation had been–no one had believed he’d survive the night, let alone have years ahead of him
Disa’s eyes filled with tears. Her voice trembled as she spoke. “Dr. Archer, I don’t know how to thank you From this day forward, whatever you need, just say the word. I’ll be there for you!
Kyle waved her off, flicking his cigarette away. “Just call me Kyle. Skip
pall the titles and formalities. Go see your father; he’ll need you when he wakes up.” With that, Kyle turned and began walking toward Faith’s hospital ward. His pace was steady, his expression unreadable.

“Why are you following me?” Kyle asked without turning around.
“Mr. Archer,” Mike said respectfully, “I’ve already investigated what happened with the Curtis family while you were treating Mr. Rivas. Allow me to update you.” Kyle nodded slightly. “Go ahead.”
Faith had refused to say Kyle’s name, even under the most brutal circumstances. She had endured everything to protect him, knowing that revealing his identity would only put him in harm’s way.
family decided to come after him. Even if the
In her mind, Kyle was just an ordinary man a recently released ex–convict. Kyle wouldn’t stand a chance if the Russo fam Russos didn’t act directly, their allies would jump at the chance to eliminate him to gain favor.
That was why Faith had begged Kyle to leave Redonia, to stay out of harm’s way.
But what Faith and everyone else underestimated was Kyle.
What was coming next would be far beyond what any of them could imagine. The people who dared to harm Faith were about to face Kyle’s wrath–and it would be nothing short of catastrophic.
