After returning to the hotel. Spencer keeps checking every single detail of the pendant. No matter what he can’t deny the fact that this pendant is his.

Warm tears roll over her cheeks as she shakes with silent sobbing. She lowers her gaze and keeps crying until Spencer entirely ignores her vulnerability and asks,

Jasmine wipes her face and looks at him with the usual pitiful gaze, “I didn’t know what I was giving away. When the person saved me, I just abruptly grabbed it and gave it to them. don’t know who it was, Just I regretted it later.”

“How did you not know the gender of the person but you knew that Benedetta was the one who pushed you?

He snatches the pendant and stands up.

“Why? You gifted it to me. It’s mine.” She confronts,

Spencer turns to her and looks straight into her eyes with those tark eyes,

“I regretted it!”

Jasmine freezes on her spot, watching his broad back disappearing behind the door.

“He regrets it! What does he regret? Why? Why didn’t he touch me for five years? Why didn’t he accept me as Luna? Because he regrets not acknowledging and recognising her as his mate and Luna? Does he regret marrying me? Is this because she isn’t rogue anymore? Because she is a Lycan Princess?”

Her body trembles with rage and disgust. She didn’t plan this. She thought Benedetta would be wise enough to stay away from her. But the entire plan backfired. Lycan Princess? An s grade heiress?

He hates Rogues but now he is not hiding that he is attracted to that woman.

Meanwhile,

Diego stops the car in front of another cafe which is behind her company. Benedetta glances outside with confusion since they could have just walked here instead of taking the car and driving it around the city last twenty minutes.

“Where are we?” She asks, getting off the car.

No question. Just follow me!” He smirks, leading her to a private property that belongs to Anderson’s.

She just shrugs. Diego likes to surprise people. Maybe another surprise for her is waiting. She walks slowly behind him.

But Some words of Spencer are still bothering her. And somehow she can’t shake them off her mind.

As she is lost in her deep thoughts, her forehead bumps on his back when Diego suddenly stops, tilting his head to look at her.

Diego’s word and the loud screaming with confetti neutralize the sound. So, instead of being surprised, she makes a done face. From both sides, all she hears are high pitched broken noises.

But Benedetta folds her arms, staring at them like she is done with them. Taking a deep breath, she looks at Simon who is quiet and dependable for any information.

“Why are you three here: Simon! Did you get permission from my father?” She asks coldly.

“Do you want me to leave?” Diego asks, looking at her profoundly.

Honestly, yes. I am glad that you have come here from far away. But we both know that you don’t belong to Vine Hill anymore. Your mother probably is waiting for you to take over her pack!” She says.

I don’t know. Although I have a lot of things to deal with. But leaving the kids makes me feel sad. Honestly speaking, I am attached to them!”

I know that. Kids are too. But I can’t be more selfish than what you have done for us, Kids know it as well. And I am sure they see you as a father figure!” She smiles softly.

Diego nods and stirs the soup. “I wish I could meet you before. Maybe the story would be different!”

She looks shocked when he says that but nods, “That’s true. But everything happens for a reason. But having you as my best friend. That’s something I never imagined. Thank you!” She genuinely gives him a smile.
