Ethan realized this too, cleared his throat, and said, “Sofia, just agree to my request. If you do, I won’t bother you anymore.”
He had been given a strict order by Lawrence.
If he couldn’t get Sofia to come back, he might as well not return at all.

Sofia said, “I don’t believe you, so stop saying such things to me.”
“You’re so cruel,” Ethan said, feeling even more depressed.
He had no way to deal with Sofia.
Sofia said. “I’m in a hurry, so I’m leaving. You can go back and tell Lawrence that I’m very busy and don’t have time for him.”
She didn’t give Ethan a chance to bring up Lawrence, hailed a taxi, and left.
Ethan scratched his head anxiously but had no other options.
He had no way to deal with Sofia.
And from a distance, Kyler saw the whole scene.

Sofia, exasperated, checked him over and said, “Don’t worry, your wounds are healing. In a couple of days, you won’t be in pain anymore.”
