Chapter 302
“That’s a brilliant idea!” Nina gave Sanya a thumbs up after hearing her plan and said, “Using Anthony’s eldest son to make them fight each other–that’s the perfect way to strike a nerve. Clifford called it the ultimate blow.”
“Absolutely!” Hearing Nina agree with her, Sanya became more enthusiastic. “I think my plan is perfect. No matter the outcome, it won’t do us any harm.”
Nina nodded in agreement, “Yeah, yeah.”
“You really get me, Nina! You’re so adorable!” Sanya hugged Nina tightly and rubbed her face against hers.
Charlie, however, dampened her mood by saying, “Don’t get too excited just yet. Do you really think Logan will go against his father? I’ve heard he is a man of principles.”
Sanya finally turned her head to look at Charlie and said, “Charlie, you’re underestimating me. Since I’ve set my sights on Logan, I’m confident I can win him over. Even if I don’t, given Logan’s character, he wouldn’t retaliate against us.”
“So you’re banking on his moral integrity to protect you?” asked Charlie.
Sanya replied, “Yes. Why not?”
“Whatever.” Charlie shrugged.
The war machines were far from saints, neither compassionate nor righteous. Just months ago, they didn’t even regard humans as equals, and only see other war machines as their kind. Expecting Charlie to sympathize with Logan Leith was simply impossible.
His only concern was whether Sanya’s plan would fail and lead to her downfall first.
Seeing how confident she was, Charlie didn’t argue further, only cautioning her again, “If Anthony finds out you’re involved with his eldest son, he won’t let it slide. Keep a low profile.”
“Got it, I know what I’m doing.” Sanya nodded.
In fact, she felt deeply sorry about what had happened to Jackie. She knew she bore some responsibility for it While Charlie and Jackie’s relationship had never been made public, anyone could see what was going on between them. Jackie’s demise had undoubtedly hit Charlie the hardest.
That was why Sa
needed revenge.
The guilty must pay. Anthony blamed her for Chris’s death. If he wanted to target her, she could accept that, but dragging all the war machines into the mess was something Sanya couldn’t tolerate. She had to make Anthony feel the same soul- crushing pain to ease her own anger.
Seeing the tension between Charlie and Sanya easing, Nina quickly chimed in and said, “Charlie, Sanya, now that everything’s been cleared up, can you two stop being at odds? We’ve all worked so hard to come together. Let’s not ruin the mood.”
Charlie glanced at Nina and saw her looking at him with expectant eyes. He knew she cared about them deeply and must have been really anxious when seeing them argue. So, his tone softened as he shrugged and said. “I’m not upset. I just needed to be stern to get the truth out of her.”
However, Sanya wasn’t having it. “If you were a little nicer, would I not have spoken? But you stormed in with that sour face.”
Charlie raised an eyebrow and said, “So I’ll be nicer to you next time, okay?”
“Now we’re talking.” Sanya smiled.

Chapter 302
Seeing that they had talked it out, Nina and Gabriel let out a breath of relief Nina exhaled dramatically and said, “Phew. Cons guys have finally made up. I was so nervous now.*
Gabriel also sighed. “Thank goodness you didn’t fight. Otherwise I’m afraid this house might collapse if it escalates
“Exactly, exactly!” Nina agreed eagerly,
Right then, the doorbell rang again.
Nina, being the closest to the door, immediately leaped to her feet and dashed to the entrance. “Ill get it
When she opened the door and saw the visitor, she blurted out, “Who are you?”
