Chapter 17
On the day Darrell and I got married, we went back to our marital home together.
The occurrence of certain things was a natural and logical progression.
The uncles were all in favor of my marriage to Darrell.
And Darrell followed all the procedures carefully and meticulously, adhering to tradition.
Because of his concern and care, both uncles went from initial worries and anxieties to eventually feeling reassured and accepting.
It was also at that time that I finally found out.
After my mother passed away, my father wanted to remarry.
The reason why I inherited the estate so smoothly was also because of Darrell’s support behind me.
Without him, it would have been a great struggle with only two uncles at that time.
The heating in the house was turned on high.
When Darrell was blowing my hair.
I don’t know if we were sitting too close or if the heating was too hot.
I broke out in a cold sweat on my back, and my face gradually turned red.
“Darrell, can you tell me now, why?”
He turned off the hairdryer and leaned over to whisper in my ear, “I’ll tell you after the wedding
night.”
“Darrell!”
I stared at him in the mirror and said, “After the wedding night, if I wanted to regret it, it would be
completely too late.”
“Do you still want to repent?”
“If you couldn’t give me a satisfactory answer…”
The more I spoke, the quieter my voice became.
Darrell had already grabbed me from behind and leaned down to deeply kiss me.
This kiss, unlike the gentle and accommodating ones before, was more than just a fleeting taste.
Incredibly powerful and astonishingly profound.
I felt as if all, the oxygen in my body had been sucked away,
Chapter 17
My tongue was so numb from being bitten that I could hardly feel it, and my legs were so weak that I could barely stand.
Darrell simply lifted me up and placed me on the dressing table.
He parted my legs and brushed aside my disheveled hair by my ear.
When my earlobe was kissed, my whole body trembled.
There were small particles on the back of the neck, feeling like an electric shock.
But it was held tightly by his warm and large palm, sticking closely.
“What do you want, Sophia?”
“Regret getting married?”
“Still want to sneak away?”
He kissed me on the most sensitive spot on my neck while he was speaking.
I placed both of my hands on his chest, wanting to dodge, but there was nowhere to hide.
In the end, he lowered his head and kissed her slightly swollen lips.
“Do you remember if I told you that I was afraid of scaring you?”
“Remember…”
I responded ambiguously, but just as I opened my mouth, he took the opportunity to kiss me even
deeper.
Unable to control himself, he tightly clenched the robe covering his chest, trembling all over.
“When I first saw you, you were only sixteen years old.”
At the age of sixteen, my mother was still alive.
I stared at him blankly, and suddenly my eyes turned red.
He held me in his arms and gently stroked my back, one stroke after another.
Back then, you were not yet of legal age, so I could only wait.
“Later on, your mother passed away, and at that time you were not yet eighteen.”
“I remember, I recalled…”
“You also came to my mother’s funeral.”
I lay on his chest, tears streaming down my eyes, “You asked me to take care of myself and not let my crying harm my health.”
