Chapter 12
The long flight finally came to an end.
When I arrived in a foreign country, it was dusk.
And at this time, it should be around three or four o’clock in the early morning at home.
As soon as I opened my phone, a constant stream of messages came pouring in.
It took a while for the phone to calm down.
AN
clicked randomly and almost all of them were messages sent by Alexzander and missed call
reminders.
I furrowed my brow and felt quite surprised.
Alexzander was never like this before.
During the time of the Cold War.
I didn’t bow my head, so it was impossible for him to approach me.
Oh, I have also taken the initiative, but it was only to embarrass me in public.
Now, thinking back to that night, it feels as if it was a distant memory from a previous lifetime.
I smiled and cast aside all the unhappiness.
The phone suddenly started vibrating and ringing again.
It was still Alexzander’s phone.
I didn’t answer, and he called again for the second time.
I had no deep grudges or hatred towards Alexzander.
The Garner family had a close business relationship with my two uncles.
I also never thought about not having any dealings with Alexzander anymore.
It was just a return to an undisturbed and mundane relationship.
But now it seems that he didn’t think so.
And I was already engaged.
It is necessary to maintain appropriate boundaries with the opposite sex.
I hung up the phone and casually deleted and blocked his number.
A moment later, my friend’s phone rang again.
Chapter 12
still did not answer.
My friend quickly sent a message.
“Sophia, could you please answer the phone?”
Alexzander had his birthday yesterday, you didn’t come, he drank all night, and now he is still in
the hospital receiving intravenous fluids.
“We could all see that he was really regretful this time.”
“Sophia, just give him a chance.”
Tclenched my phone, and not far away, Darrell had arranged for my car to be waiting there.
Thinking about the hug Darrell gave me before we parted.
I felt a slight warmth in my heart.
He said he would fly over to see me every month in the future.
He also said, “Let me study in peace, and he would patiently wait for my return after I finished my
studies.”
I would never hear any gossip about him while abroad.
Thinking of Darrell always brought a sense of inexplicable comfort.
No longer suffered from anxiety.
I thought for a moment and replied to my friend’s message.
“We have already broken up, so please don’t tell me anything about him in the future. Thank you.”
After replying, I locked the screen and put my phone in my bag.
The person arranged by Darrell came over to help me with the luggage.
The driver opened the car door for me and spoke with utmost respect.
“Ms. Mooney, Mr. Stuart have both made arrangements, so now let’s take you home first.”
The car drove on the streets of a foreign country,
I curiously looked at the street scenery outside the car.
Everything was brand new, filled with hope.
I suddenly felt excited about the upcoming new life.
