Chapter 9
At seven o’clock in the evening, all the friends had gathered.
There was an empty seat next to Alexzander.
He did not bring a female companion.
Friends knew it in their hearts.
That seat was reserved for Sophia.
After all the fuss, they actually figured it out.
Alexzander still liked Sophia in his heart.
I was just too proud, always wanting others to bow down.
“After tonight, you two should stop quarreling.”
“Why bother, frowning every day, as if we owe you eight million.”
“Sophia will be here in a moment, so please be nice to her and sincerely apologize.”
Alexzander glanced casually at the door and said, “No need to coax.”
“It would be nice to give her a way out.”
“You just go ahead and do whatever you want.”
“What time is it? Why hasn’t Sophia arrived yet?”
“Did you tell her, Alexzander?”
Alexzander glanced at his watch and said, “Love, are you coming or not?”
“I went out to take a look.”
Alexzander did not intervene.
He stood up and walked to the window.
The sky outside had already turned dark, and he looked downstairs.
Cars came and went, but he didn’t know if the one he was waiting for was among them.
Alexzander suddenly remembered his birthday last year.
At that time, he and Sophia had a good relationship.
She gave him a belt and cufflinks, and he used them almost every day.
And the diamond earrings he gave her on her birthday.
