Chapter 7
I promised my uncle to meet that person before going abroad.
I just didn’t expect that you would come as agreed.
It turned out to be the person whom I had to call Mr. Stuart.
My best friend was also dumbfounded, grabbing my hand and whispering in a small voice.
“Sophia, you were set up on a blind date with Darrell Stuart!”
sat up straight subconsciously, but my face slightly turned red, “I also didn’t know it was him.”
“I couldn’t take it anymore, Sophia. I was scared, I needed to run away to pee.”
My best friend let go of my hand after she finished speaking.
Before Darrell could approach, she stood up abruptly and said, “Mr. Stuart, I’ll go to the restroom
first.”
After speaking, he also bowed very obediently.
Just a few steps later, the rabbit disappeared like a shadow.
“Mr. Stuart.”
I greeted him quietly and suddenly felt a bit hesitant to look at him directly as I used to before.
Darrell sat down in front of me and asked, “What do you want to eat?”
“Anything is fine, I am not picky.”
Darrell ordered a few items and asked me, “Is that okay?”
I glanced at the menu and saw that it was all the food I usually love to eat.
I was a little surprised and couldn’t help but glance at him.
A man in my memory exuded an air of nobility, aloofness, and arrogance.

“What do you think of me then?”
I was a little stunned.
Darrell smiled and said, “Don’t worry, you can take your time and think about it before answering.”
I took a deep breath and said, “Mr. Stuart…”
“Sophia, you could call me by my name.”
I tightly pinched the palm of my hand and after a while, I softly shouted, “Darrell.”
“I will still have to study abroad, at least for two years…”
“It’s okay, if you’re willing, we can get engaged first.”
“Why?” I was a bit puzzled.
There was so much room for him to choose in terms of marriage matters.
And I was just a lonely girl, with a mother who passed away early and a father who remarried, feeling like I had a home but also feeling like I didn’t.
Darrell handed me the poured juice.
His fingers were slender and strong, pressed against the glass cup, resembling jade pipes.
I was so stunned that I couldn’t help but stare.
He put down the glass and gently stroked my head.
“Sophia, I didn’t want to scare you.”
“So, keep it a secret for now.
