Chapter 215
After a while, Evelyn looked at Caleb’s eyes and said decisively, I mind it.”
She said as if nothing had happened. As soon as she sat on her berl, she breathed a sigh of relief.
There was a wall between them. They could see the same scenery outside the window, but they had their own thoughts.
The smile on Caleb’s face disappeared when Evelyn was out of his sight.
Caleb still dealt with the work on the bed, while Evelyn lay on the bed, looked out of the window, and fell asleep unconsciously. Then the nurse went into the ward again with a slight sound.
Hearing the noise, Evelyn immediately woke up and walked to the next room. She saw the nurse placing the food on the small table in front of Caleb. When Evelyn arrived here for the first time in the afternoon, the half bed on Caleb’s double bed was empty. It was occupied by various documents now.
Because of what happened in the new ward in the afternoon and what happened in the restaurant at noon, after the nurses set the table and left. Evelyn turned around and was about to go back to the next room.
Seeing that–Evelyn was about to leave, Caleb blurted out, “Don’t you feed me?”
Evelyn turned around and asked, “You can work. Can’t you have dinner by yourself?”
Caleb took it for granted and said, “Work is my business, and eating meals is our business.”
Hearing this, Evelyn felt that the doctor’s diagnosis in the afternoon might be wrong or that the doctor forgot to check Caleb’s brain today.
Since Caleb had an operation, as for what Caleb had done between them, nothing was normal!
Hearing Caleb’s nonsense, Evelyn felt that there might be something wrong with Caleb’s brain.
“I’m here to replace your mother to take care of you. Need I call your mother to feed you?” Evelyn hid her tenderness. perfectly.
Evelyn didn’t expect the biggest problem to take care of Caleb was to feed him.
Caleb replied calmly, “Okay, call my mother.”
Hearing that, Evelyn felt that something was wrong with Caleb’s brain and that he had become cheeky after the operation!
If it were in the past, Caleb wouldn’t have said so.
Evelyn thought, It’s not like that! How clever Caleb is!
When he said so, he knew clearly that I would not call his mother.
As expected, even if something is wrong with his brain, he is still a cunning fox”
Biting her lips, Evelyn came up to Caleb, sat down on the edge of the bed, picked up the porridge stiffly, and reluctantly picked up the spoon. She hoped that Caleb would give up.
However, Caleb ignored her expression. He ate the food every time she fed him.
In the end, Evelyn even forgot to let Caleb give up. While she fed him the porridge, she put down the spoon from time to time and fed him the light dishes served by the nurse for Caleb.
