Chapter 9
Leonard vigorously proved to me that he was a qualified good dog.
He even built good relationships with everyone and then inquired about their opinions of me.
If someone spoke ill of me, he would secretly report to me.
I watched as Leonard incessantly boasted about his achievements, feeling nothing but extreme immaturity.
When I came to the company, everyone was here to make money. Some people liked me, some people disliked me, but it didn’t matter for the work.
“Do you want me to make him unable to continue working in the company and resign on his own?” He knelt in front of me and asked for my approval.
It can be imagined that Leonard had used some disgusting means to force some colleagues he didn’t like to resign before.
“No need, just focus on doing his job well and you can leave,” I dismissed him.
Whoever said that a woman’s heart is the most poisonous, men can be even more treacherous
without any limits, resorting to any means necessary.
I opened the computer and received an email.
The mysterious guest from last time was Gisselle, who had already left.
She probably thought about it for a few days and still wanted to retaliate against Leonard, this heartless man. She sent me this email.
I opened it and was greatly shocked by its contents.
The chat records were filled with Leonard and Gisselle’s conversations, mostly consisting of
Leonard asking Gisselle to cover for him, give him kickbacks, and secretly collect bribes from
business partners.
What shocked me even more was that Leonard, in order to secure the deal, actually coerced Gisselle
into sleeping with the business partner.
Did Gisselle do it to this extent, or was she just a pawn to be thrown away?
How could she not hate him? After I calmed down, I roughly calculated how many kickbacks Leonard had taken, how many bribes he had received, and which business partners had done such
things.
The result chilled me to the bone. This matter concerns the company, and now Leonard is not only
leaving, but he may also end up in prison.
After backing up the evidence, I sent this email to the Purchasing Department manager.
After receiving my email, the manager privately met with me at the earliest opportunity.
The implicit meaning, between the lines, was for me not to escalate the situation.
I also didn’t want the company’s reputation to be damaged, so after careful consideration, I decided that reporting to the police was the most appropriate course of action.
Leonard, who was still on a business trip thousands of miles away, was embracing a beautiful
oman and drinking with clients at a KTV.
He just poured a glass for his business partner, and the latter smirked as he took out a gift from his
coat and handed it to him.
Between the toasting and exchanging of cups, he silently accepted it in his heart.
You can tell a lot just by touching the thickness.
The salary for this job was high, and there were abundant benefits, so I wasn’t foolish enough to quit and leave.
Audrey, that foolish woman, was easily deceived. After he submitted two small reports, she trusted
him.
Only he knew how deep the water of the Purchasing Department was.
Just as he was about to take the microphone and start singing, someone knocked on the door. He signaled for the accompaniment to stop and walked to the door to open it, finding two police
officers outside.
His intuition told him that something had happened, and he hesitated to ask, “Is there something wrong?”
Two police officers handcuffed him and were about to take him back to the police station. immediately.
“Someone reported that you were suspected of bribery. Come with us.”
…One month later, Leonard officially began the frial.
unjust paine
Due to his large amount of bribery, and threats to others, he was sentenced heavily.
The Purchasing Department went crazy. Unexpectedly, the supervisor caught Leonard with evidence of bribery and kickbacks and sent him in.
This action, I saved the company from huge losses and restored the company’s reputation.
The company was spreading the news that the new head of the Purchasing Department was
gfficient and resourceful.
Dad heard about this matter and called me back home.
“Daughter, initially Dad thought you were not mature enough and didn’t trust you that much. Now Dad believes that you are capable of taking over the responsibilities at home. From now on, you will take my place on the board of directors.”
My father handed over his position as chairman to me.
Misfortune may be a blessing in disguise. Just a few months ago, I was deeply frustrated about Josing the promotion competition. But now, I am about to take on the role of chairman.
On Monday, at the all–staff meeting, I pushed open the conference room door and took a seat at the
front of the room.
“Hello everyone, I was your newly appointed chairman, Audrey.”
