“Gisselle, you just said that if it was fake, you would leave. Now it’s time for you to fulfill your
promise.”
I squatted down and looked at Gisselle, who was scared silly on the ground.
Gisselle finally came to her senses at this moment, realizing that she had no other choice but to beg
Leonard one last time to see if he could save her.

With a forceful push, she threw Gisselle aside and sat on the ground, staring at Leonard with a terrified expression on her face as he glared at her fiercely.
“You should pay the price for spreading rumors about her,” Audrey said, “You’d better resign and
leave this afternoon.”
I didn’t expect Leonard to kick Gisselle while she was down right in front of me.
Gisselle was on the verge of a breakdown, as the man she loved had betrayed her and humiliated. her, she finally saw through him.

He endured the pain that had almost suffocated him in the past, and with all his strength, he said,

Before he almost passed out, I withdrew my foot. He gasped for breath, his face turning red as he crawled to my feet.
“I could be your dog, doing all the dirty and tiring tasks for you in the Purchasing Department.”
This was somewhat useful, as Gisselle was gone, Leonard shamelessly carried on as if nothing had happened in the company.
My goal was to get both of them out of the company.
“Alright, then you better behave like a dog. If I ever catch you having any ulterior motives, you know the consequences.”
Leonard received my approval and felt secretly delighted. For her, I still had some value.
She softened her heart, and given enough time, she might actually marry me, and I could inherit her father’s company.
Thinking about how the future companies would all be his, he trembled with excitement and stood up, repeatedly assuring that he would prove his worth.
The next day, I met with a mysterious guest.
The other person wore a mask and showed clear caution upon seeing me.
I poured her a glass of red wine and toasted to her, “You said before that you did so many dirty things for him, what did you mean?”
“Why should I tell you?” The other person knocked over the red wine with a backhand.
Not surprised at all by her attitude, I casually prompted her, “He was so heartless to you, don’t you want to get back at him?”
“I will take care of it, no need for you to intervene.”
She wavered, looking at me with confusion, as if she didn’t know my purpose.

Immediately, she stood up and was about to leave. Before leaving, she said to me, “I will give you an
answer in three days.”
I knew she would not be willing to accept it.
So, three days later, this answer must be what I wanted.
