Chapter 46 We Didn’t Think She Deserved It
Sofia Schneider finally finished extracting the potion by noon the next day and stored it in the fridge.
This time, the potion needed to be chilled for a longer period, a full thirty–six hours.
Sofia calculated the time and realized that by early morning the next day, she could go to Nathaniel Hart’s room to administer the potion
After cleaning up the remnants of the extraction process, Sofia yawned and left her room.
Older Mr. Hart had been waiting for her for a long time.
He had wanted to send someone to wake her up for a meal but didn’t know what Sofia had been doing the previous night.
After all, unless it was something special Sofia was not one to sleep in.

Seeing Sofia come out of her room, Older Mr. Hart asked, “Sofia, you must be hungry. I’ve asked Gregory to prepare some food for you. Go eat something first.”
“Thank you, Grandpa,” Sofia replied, indeed feeling famished.
The potion extraction had drained her energy, leaving her both physically and mentally exhausted.
All she wanted now was to eat and then get some sleep.
Noticing her tired appearance, Older Mr. Hart asked, “Sofia, what’s wrong? You look so exhausted.”
“Grandpa, I stayed up late last night working on a paper, so I’m a bit tired,” Sofia lied casually.
She had already promised William Rowe to prepare some papers and had selected a few simple ones to show him later.
If Older Mr. Hart wanted to see them, she could show him as well.
Older Mr. Hart didn’t want to read her papers; he just felt sorry for her staying up late.

“It’s good for young people to work hard, but Sofia, you need to take care of yourself and get enough rest.”
Sofia nodded, feeling warm inside.
She was truly grateful to this old man.
He had given her the care of a family, which touched her deeply.
After eating, Sofia returned to her room.
However, she couldn’t sleep yet.
She finally had time to check her phone and saw messages from Smith.
Smith had sent multiple messages, anxious about her lack of response and asking what her plans were.
Sofia quickly typed out the plan she had already prepared and sent it to Smith.
Since Smith had agreed to her terms, the next steps would be easy.
After replying to Smith, she also sent a message to Sylvia Grant.
Matters in the U.S. were entirely in Sylvia’s hands, and Sylvia had been waiting for Sofia’s instructions.
With Sofia’s directive, Sylvia began to take action.
Sofia didn’t concern herself with the remaining tasks.
It wasn’t suitable for her to get too involved; otherwise, the forces over there might trace the signals back to her, ruining her efforts to stay hidden.
Sofia turned off her phone and crawled into bed, ready to sleep.
When she woke up, it was already dark.
She was awakened by her phone ringing.
Seeing that the caller was Davian Sanders, she frowned but answered the call.

As soon as the call connected, she heard Davian’s exasperated voice, “When can I finally get rid of Kassidy Schneider? This woman is so stupid and causes so much trouble on set every day. I’m sick of her!”
Sofia didn’t need to ask to know what Kassidy had done to anger Davian so much.
After a moment of silence, she said, “Wait a bit longer. It’s not the right time yet.”
“Please! I’m begging you, do something to get rid of her! I’m so fed up, I don’t even want to shoot this film anymore,” Davian cursed in frustration.
Sofia couldn’t help but laugh at his reaction.
“Don’t get so worked up. I’ll arrange something soon. Be patient.”
“Fine, I’ll wait for your news. Don’t let me down,” Davian said.
Sofia acknowledged and hung up the phone.
She then called Selena Swift, “Next week, the land on Tulip Lane is up for auction. Make sure the Schneider family wins it.”
“Yes,” Selena replied, her voice filled with excitement. “You’re finally making a move against the Schneider family!”
“Isn’t this what you’ve always wanted to see?” Sofia said helplessly.
Selena had been urging her to take action more than once.
“I was just worried you’d go soft,” Selena said.
Sofia didn’t say much more.
Selena wasn’t wrong; she did give that impression easily.
She smiled and said, “Don’t worry, not this time. Make sure this is done right and don’t give them a chance to turn things around.”
“Don’t worry about that,” Selena assured. “You know you can trust me.”
Indeed, Sofia had always trusted her two capable assistants.

Before hanging up, Sofia remembered something and asked, “Didn’t you mention before that Kassidy wanted to borrow some jewelry?”
“Yes, but we refused because we didn’t think she deserved it,” Selena said.
Their items weren’t something just any third–rate celebrity could wear.
After thinking for a moment, Sofia said, “Find a way to let her borrow it this time.”
“Really?” Selena was reluctant, feeling that their brand would lose its value if Kassidy touched their items.
“Of course not really. Let someone else lend it to her,” Sofia said.
Selena quickly understood what Sofia meant.
She laughed and said, “You’re really something.”
Sofia took it as a compliment, gave a few more instructions, and then hung up.
She was a bit exasperated with herself for going through such a roundabout way to help Davian get rid of Kassidy.
But this time, she planned to drag the Schneider family into the mess, so it was worth the extra effort.
She wanted to see how Benson Schneider would clean up his precious granddaughter’s
mess.
Feeling good after handling these matters, Sofia went to Nathaniel’s room.
Nathaniel was already puzzled by her absence for two nights.
Now, seeing her appear at an unexpected time made him even more curious.
What was this woman up to?
