Chapter 8 Used Goods
As for William… his medical report clearly stated low sperm motility and minimal chances of natural conception.
The doctor’s diagnosis was asthenospermia.
After glancing at the report, William immediately pointed at me.
“Impossible! She got pregnant before and carried a full–term healthy boy! There’s nothing wrong with me!”
Tiana smiled, “That time was pure luck, and thanks to my sister’s good health, she managed to conceive… Or rather, that child might have been the only one you could ever have.”
William couldn’t believe it.
He’d always thought he was perfectly healthy how could he be unable to father children?
At that moment, Kennedy walked over and put his arm around shoulders intimately.
“So, how do you like my surprise gift?”
I looked at him and nodded with a smile.
But for me, this wasn’t enough.
my
“Scarlett!”
When William saw me talking with Kennedy, he rushed over and grabbed my hand.
“Can’t you forgive me just once? Talk to our brother! If you forgive me, I’ll call off this wedding right now.”
Ava rushed over when she heard this.
“I’m carrying your baby! Don’t listen to them! Maybe we’re meant to be a miracle!”
Tiana looked at Ava’s belly and suggested they should get a proper hospital check–up, as something seemed off about her pregnancy.
But Ashley insisted this was exactly how a belly–carrying boy should look.
She pointed at me. “Your sister never missed a single check–up during her pregnancy, but what happened? She couldn’t even keep a fully formed baby!”
She grabbed Ava’s arm.
“We’re not going! No check–ups!”
The wedding venue descended into complete chaos.
The groom chased after me as I fled the scene, dropping to his knees and begging me to get back together with him.
The bride fainted from anger and was rushed to the hospital.
I returned home with my family, where my mom had prepared a feast.
“Mom, you missed the biggest joke of the day by not coming.”
Mom shook her head as she brought out the dishes.
“I couldn’t stand to see that mother and son. If it weren’t for them, my daughter wouldn’t have suffered like this!”
I had barely sat down when there was a knock at the door.
Kennedy spat in disgust when she saw William’s face on the security monitor.
He was relentless, refusing to leave until late into the night when he finally gave up on us opening the door.
But when he got to work… he started spreading rumors that I had agreed to get back together with him.
He was the golden son of the Heaven Group.
“You’ve all seen how devoted my girl was to me. Sure, I made a mistake with Ava before, but now I’ve changed my ways!”
He held his head high as he bragged to the young interns.
“Ava and I just had the wedding ceremony without officially

registering. It’s perfect timing! Once I’m free, I’ll get back with her
and make it official. Then I’ll introduce you all to my wife, the heiress. of Heaven Group.”
He was so confident that he even threw a celebration party, specifically the VP position would be his.
His confidence stemmed from my family’s recent announcement of my upcoming happy news.
As my college classmate, he knew I didn’t have other men in my life, so he assumed the news meant our engagement.
He started camping outside my house daily, sharing his plans for our future whenever he caught me.
“Scarlett, I know you still have feelings for me. I’ve realized my mistakes. Can I move in? It’ll be easier to take care of you and drive. you to your hospital check–ups.”
I stared at him in disbelief and asked, “When did I ever say I wanted to get back together?”
“Stop being so stubborn! I was your first love, and you haven’t dated anyone else since college. You just lost a baby! Who else would want you now? Plus, your family hasn’t fired me despite everything… All this proves…”
He suddenly pulled me into his arms.
